I explained the process of this decision on Discuss the Boards, but the short version is that "fuck" and its variants are most often used in a non-insulting fashion as an expression of frustration, when "r%%%%%ed" is almost always used to insult or denigrate. There are also changing social mores to consider.
Because a cuss/curse word isn't derogatory by default?
one is a swear word, which still is censored in game, the other is only used to degrade others. fuck isnt always used in the same manner, because its simultaneously a noun, a verb, an adjective, interjection, or adverb depending on the context.
Because one is a simple curse word and the other is ableist and hateful.
I don't think the r-word should be censored on these boards, mostly because it's confusing, and I've made a thread about it before. But it's a significantly ugly thing to say to somebody, and completely useless in polite or productive conversation.
Also, this thread would belong in the Discuss the Boards forum, not PB.
Because telling someone to go have sex is actually... well for an insult you're suggesting they go do something pleasurable.

It's too bad the word can't be used as the appropriate verb though.
Saying to your team,: "We need to r-e-t-a-r-d (i.e., slow) the enemy's rate of cs" shouldn't be punishable. Telling a teammate, "You're a r%%%%%" (direct insult) should be (and is) totally punishable.

The people that make league are morons, it says when you get a suspension. (We know league is a competitive game), but give you a suspension when you bash. People in your team that feed, troll.
