Negative Attitude and (re)Learning the Game

I played league for a good few years and used to be pretty decent at it. I stopped playing way back in 2013 but about a week ago decided to try start playing again. My main account is on NA and was level 30 (max back when I played) and I thought I cant play on that. I'm using it to play a fair few ARAM's to relearn all the champions and people seem to be much nicer in ARAM.

I have this account on EUW which was level 5 that I used to use to play with a different set of friends. Thought it best to re-learn on this account before going back to my main one. When I was playing blind pick it was pretty awful, kept getting put with players who would argue over top or mid and we would have two mids and they would rage and cry and I can't be dealing with that. I'm not that bad. So when I got high enough for draft pick I thought it would be much better because I only ever liked to play mid/sup and occasionally adc. I keep getting matched with players who are a much higher level than I am, most of them around 30. I feel like I'm way behind them and keep getting raged at, or called a bot or being told I'm going to be reported for trolling. Last game one person was really nasty, and another guy said maybe they're new give them a chance. They started raging saying nobody is new, I'm just trolling on a smurf, going to report you etc.

Really putting me off re-learning the game and I feel like I should just stick to ARAM forever. I can't learn on blind pick because I keep getting people who are 0/8 and then saying OMG REPORT YOU ALL. Can't learn using draft pick because I keep getting better players who keep raging me. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't be the type of player who would ever rage at anyone, because its just a game so I'm not even arguing back and ignoring them.
