[Player Advice]: Motivation is the Key

When playing Ranked (Support Main), my mindset is like this: "If my teammates feel good about how they're playing, they play better. They play better, you win more. Win more, climb higher."

If I see that our Neeko lands that perfect [R: Pop Blossom], she's getting cheered on for that. My ADC gets firstblood on the enemy botlane, congratulate them & tell him/her to keep it up. Your teammates are going to feel alot better with people cheering them & 9 times out of ten, will end up being what wins you & your team the game. Same thing can be done if a teammate is on the recieving end of a beating. Say your Fiora get's gibbed by Darius & his jungler early on, assure her that they'll come back & pay attention to her when she DOES make a comeback. They'll feel better about making that early mistake & they'll most likely play better.

If you treat your teammates like garbage for making a misplay, they're going to be de-motivated & aren't going to want to play out the match. Sure this isn't always the case (there are players that ruin the game just for fun). However most of the time that I've played ranked, I've seen more negativity & flaming among teammates than anything else.

Hopefully this helps out those looking for advice for playing ranked (or just playing league in general). Best of luck out there ladies & gents, good luck on your climb up the ELO Ladder.

Mindlessly being positive doesn't do jack. Your teammates either ignore you or they already know they're doing well.

Negativity doesn't make anyone play worse or make them "less motivated to play" unless they're sensetive and at that point they would've been tilted of off a fucking question mark ping or by the enemies themselves.

Negativity could make a player try harder to prove you wrong that they're garbage, or make someone less ignorant about their mistakes

Yep hard to stay positive after getting 4 AFK's in a row, then immediately following 2 trolls. Get demoted twice. Riot wants us to be happy even though a silver is matched with an iron with a 16% winrate, right?

I don't treat my teammates as garbage. They still feed their asses off, botlane going 0/10 EASILY.

Nah can't work with people psychology, much easier to mute them fully and perform well.

Sometimes I get an ADCVayne that gets a triple kill early on and then starts pushing up the lane solo and feeding... but that's the exception to the rule.

Generally confidence has only beneficial effects, and you should endeavor not to harm your teammates' confidence if you want to win.
