Dodging

Dodging a que should not keep you from joining another game right away. There are SO many trolls in this game that you should be able to kick people from your champ select with a vote. So ridiculous when I have to end up dodging because there is a troll who is out to ruin everyone's game and then I get the punishment. Perfect example just happened. I was jungle and had selected Warwick so that he wouldn't get banned. Top then says he wants to play Warwick, I say Warwick should be in the jungle and asked if I could play him there. In return this person's friend bans Warwick so that I can't play him jungle because he friend said that if he couldn't play Warwick then no one could. It kept getting worse from there on out and I ended up dodging the champ select. Now I have the 5 minute ban and he gets to go play and troll another game. Something needs to change. Either don't penalize people for dodging or allow a vote to kick someone from the champ select and restart the que with another person. I don't know just something other than the current system.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt Riot will implement anything to help out this problem. There are many problems in this game, majority of them have to do with players individual attitudes, but Riot doesn't fix any of them.

a pattern of dodging games would occur, and games would never begin

But dodging is a form of trolling.

So you're actually reinforcing the statement, "There are SO many trolls in this game," because you're being a troll as well.

I understand that you feel that it is justified because you think you're being the hero who prevents the troll from ruining your game, but you really aren't helping matters.

Riot can not track someone's intention to troll, and they honestly can not trust the community to be able to make that distinction themselves either. Someone may appear to be a troll in lobby, or the other players may assume that they are going to be a troll, but when/if they were to get into the game they may do nothing to troll at all.

Even if they were going to end up trolling, YOU were the one who prevented the game from happening. The 'bad guy' will simply join another game and troll them instead. If you had played the game, then reported them afterward, Riot will be able to enforce punishment.

The only games you should really dodge is the one's that you know 100 % you are not going to win.. If you dodge every game however, you deserve to wait. I usually dodge during my promos and only if I don't like the enemy team and I don't like teams comp and only if both don't click, If one doesn't' click, I usually play it out.

As a person who uses the dodge feature to adjust my mmr or fix my mmr. I say the punishment is fine and I don't think riot should change it.

The main reason is this, you have to wait 5 minutes to queue up (30minutes after) it gives you time to cool off but also 98% it won't put you with the same people. (I had a situation where I got the same ADC because he was queue for 10minutes ) but it still worked out in the end :)

Sometimes (rarely) it is a good idea to dodge. If you can tell the game will likely be one where people don't value teamwork and prefer to rage/flame all game then I think 1 dodge should be allowed before you get a timer. This still discourages people from dodging 2 games in a row, so it's not going to affect queue time much.

As it is now, I'd still rather dodge and wait a few minutes to play a game. I just can't enjoy playing a game where people are flaming and don't even attempt to help their team out, even if I do really well it's just not fun for me, but maybe I'm a little different because I only really enjoy support.

I've suggested this time and time again and it always fall on deaf ears. League and trolls are synonymous now. If you remove the troll you remove half the league community.

100% agree with this post. I had several people in my town. playing with me at one point. they all left over these issues. I also joined them but came back. but I'm about to leave again i think. sick of having to listen to people being nasty/negative. than throwing a game down the drain after i wasted 30 mins. cause they was just negative/careless

Keep in mind that there's a fair chance that one or more of your opponents will be trolling too...

If there is no penalty for dodging, players will dodge for any and all inconvenience, and like Magical Player says "games would never begin".
