Riot doesn't give enough gravity to AFKers; a rant

Neither for them or for us.

My last two losses had an AFK in them. And honestly, now if I just get plain outclassed next match and lose I'm going to either have to walk away or flame the holy christ out of people. And then I'll be wrong. Which is fucked up because your level of authority doesn't match your level of responsibility. The average player base has almost no authority and is completely expected to act professional - That's fine.

But you have the ability to resolve these issues and you don't do a god damn thing. If this were normals, I wouldn't care. But you still don't do anything to give people a reason to player normals, you let AFKs contribute to people's win records which is weird, this isn't currently a 5v5v game, and we're expected to go "oh well, 40 minutes down the tubes because this guy can't manage his schedule or buy an ethernet cord"

If Riot were held to the same standards as their users, they'd be bankrupt in a day. Fuck off with your dev direction cutesy videos. No one cares. Do your job.

The problem is RIOT can prove afk's. The next problem is they don't want to hold people accountable for the, "MOST TOXIC THING IN ONLINE GAMING".

Because, they would lose money...

Because children and ignorance can't be held accountable for making sure their systems are good to go..

Till RIOT can treat this with the same harsh discipline they do for chat which by the way...

CAN BE MUTED AND DON'T LEAVE YOUR TEAM AT A DISADVANTAGE LIKE AFK'S DO...

RIOT is just another developer lacking the balls to take a chance and punish fairly and has zero integrity and only cares about the green.

And what would that job be? Riot can't control my apartment losing power, but they also can't reward the losing team for having an afk; it would turn into a contest of who can get their team to afk as soon as things go south. What exactly do you want them to do?

Honestly riot needs to implement a Rank Ban system. for players in rank who get reported often for leaving, afking, and toxic behavior. simply put

if a player is reported and found guilty to go along with the chat restrictions or account suspensions when they return or during riot needs to also make it so they have a Ranked Suspension as well. and if it continues it can get longer and possibly season ban a player from played ranked.

Riot also needs to make a requirement for new accounts to get up to " maybe level 50" before they can play ranked. This will make people actually put effort into smurfs accounts in order to play in ranked games, and to make trolls wonder if its worth the effort to make a smurf account to 50 to troll ranked games. and then to also punish players and trolls to a point of that's enough no more ranked for you ..

cause right now its to easy to make a new account and troll in this season and its to easy to just side step a punishment just by making a account and continue where you left of

Back in the early seasons, they had temp bans (1, 3, 7, and 14 day). Players would simply rotate accounts to dodge penalties.

Switching to the LPQ meant those players were held responsible and could no longer avoid the consequences if they wanted to continue playing on their main account.
