Why is this a reason for my chat restriction?

I don't understand why it's a reason for a chat restriction. I was extremely calm the entire time, and I didn't resort to insulting him (except for those two remarks at the end)

Quick summary of what happened:

I was playing Yasuo, and I ended up playing against a Twisted Fate. I started E and used it to last "hit" minions, and he called me a smurf. I asked him why that was, he started talking about mechanics, whatever. I will admit that this isn't my first account, but the highest my ELO has reached is gold 1. He seemed like he knew what he was doing mechanically (TF is a pretty easy champ, but still doesn't excuse the fact that he plays better than any new player.) I tell him he's obviously a smurf too because he plays like a silver player, not a low level player. He gives me the excuse that he plays DOTA, so I try to tell him that DOTA and LOL mechanics are quite different. Short story short, I muted him and unmuted him a bit later. Nothing changed.

I will admit that I did a "bad" thing by letting Malphite know what his mistakes were in the middle of the game. Typically you only do this if they're your friend or after a game ends, but I figured it was okay. Regardless, it wasn't toxic so much as expressing my point of view. I called TF "dumb" and said he was "butthurt". He did way worse. I didn't even get a notification that he was punished, but I guess I was punished instead.

I don't entirely understand why this is a good reason for a chat restriction. The chat restriction is no big deal in itself, but this is still confusing and unsettling. Especially since TF wasn't punished.

It's not just this game. You've gotten the chat restriction because you consistently get reported for unsportsmanlike behavior- almost every game. The chat logs are there to show you examples of behavior that are unacceptable in the league community.

You might have thought that arguing all game and calling someone a lying smurf is not unsportsmanlike behavior before (somehow), but the chat log is here to tell you that it is. You should cut out that unsportsmanlike behavior now, because if you don't, the punishments only get worse (a bigger chat restriction, then a 2 week ban, and then a permanent ban).

After reading it didn't look as though much of anything was going wrong. I know you said you were being calm and stuff but honestly, if I was the TF I would see you as assaulting me so that could be one thing. Riot looks at both sides, the attacker, and the receiver. For example if someone started talking crap to you and you started to defend yourself, you wouldn't get banned because you were not provoking the abuse or anything of the sort. But that last part with Malphite and everything probably set the chat restriction. Either way chat restrictions aren't huge deals, you just can't talk to your team and sometimes that's a good thing so you don't get a ban or do something that you regret and may cost you your account.

This was an undeserved ban, you acted calm and reasoned with the flamer, which you really shouldn't do. Also, be happy you got a chat restriction, some people were known to be banned for less. You also seem like a nice person, I really don't understand how this was a chat ban.
