Bans and Suspensions

So, I created this account about a month ago and only ran into chat restriction once before going straight to 14 day suspension with nothing in between and I know this is not how the system is supposed to work. However, the person in every game that trolls/feeds/ints and straight up makes the game misery for literally everyone else playing can't get banned, because Riot doesn't care about those people. How do I know? Countless streamers, friends, and league podcasts/talk-shows know this and actively talk about it multiple times a week. Notably Travis Gafford, Loco Doco, Yassuo, and TF Blade constantly address this issue on a weekly to daily basis and I run into this DAILY maybe most times every other game. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE. It makes absolutely no sense to punish the person getting mad at the troll/feeder/inter if they are not getting punished as well. This is how most chat bans/restrictions happen to begin with. By people (good people trying to actively get better and play the game the correct way) flaming the person causing literally everyone in their game hell. This makes absolutely no sense to me. And its amazing to me that Riot doesn't want to fix it when its literally the easiest thing in the world to fix. All they have to do is make inters/feeders/trolls be bannable/reportable too and the people that flame won't have a reason to flame. Because, they know the other person will get punished. But its whatever Riot, if you don't want to protect the people that want to make this game better, then sooner or later the people left will be the inters/trollers/feeds because they're being actively protected by you.

I understand why it must be frustrating to get punished for that. But when you say it makes absolutely no sense, just try to understand. Hopefully I can help make sense of it for you.

The game is played by millions of people. Thats millions of reports. They cant spend all their resources (keep in mind it would take thousands of employees) reviewing reports to decide whether someone was justified in breaking the rules. It has to be a blanket set of rules that covers everyone at all times. There can be NO stipulations that make it okay to break the rules.

A system where you get to decide when someone is trolling, and that means you're now allowed to break the rules because YOU think theyre trolling, would be a complete mess. I hope you can see why. Just look at the big picture and all the situations where it would waste huge amounts of time reviewing because some guy went and made a stupid play and got called a troll, and then was flamed to hell for it. Reviewing every report. Millions of them. Its just not realistic. They HAVE TO be a general set of rules with no exceptions.

It cant be handled with a personal touch on a case by case basis. Think of all the money we sink into our judicial system in real life. Lawyers, justices, courtrooms, police. A gaming company cant afford that kind of shit. So if you break the rules, it doesnt matter WHY you did it. It just matters whether you broke them or not. Its all on YOU alone to follow them, regardless of the situation. I hope you can understand why. Im not the best at articulating my thoughts so sorry if this doesnt help at all lol.

As far as good people getting punished. Yes, youre right. Good people get punished all the time. Thats because the rules have nothing to do with "good" or "bad". Theyre not a moral code or a life lesson. They exist in the vacuum of the game itself. They do not apply to real life. So even if theyre the most charitable noble person in the world, breaking the rules here doesnt change that at all. It just means you broke the rules of a video game meant to create profit for a company. They have no relation to real life, so dont judge anyone based on whether they broke the rules of league or not.

They do punish trolls and intentional feeding. Their presence in a game doesn't mean that they never punish them. They don't prioritize one negative behavior over another; chat toxicity is more easily detected than intentional feeding is. Which I know is frustrating, but if you reported them, that's sufficient for their behavior to be looked into.

Actually, the biggest problem is here that people falsely accusing others of inting and trolling. High ELO players and streamers are notorious when it comes to accusing others of trolling when others make a play they don't agree with.

Bad decisions and bad plays alone don't make an inter/troller/griefer. Intent does.

Funny. "inters/feeders/trolls" already are "bannable/reportable" too.

Amazing how people still flame, completely different than what you suggest should be happening.

Heeeereeeee we gooooo, another post where you try to mix your own issue in with the Inters 'n' Feeders 'n' Trolls™ shit. Take responsibility for yourself.

THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE.

Yes, if you weren't toxic, you wouldn't be banned right now. They are harsher on new accounts. I'm assuming you got permabanned on your main.

What is the post attempting to do? Are you wanting to know why you were punished? Are you attempting to argue that most the people who are punished are "good" people just trying to play the right way?

Your entire post is just one long rambling rant offering nothing but anicdotal, or in some places no, evidence.
