toxic player reporting (poll)

note: if you are gonna be toxic assholes about this topic then piss off.

in allot of games I have been in I have seen both my team and the other team say in all chat "report so and so" but why the hell should we care? that player isn't on our team. we do not know the charges and reporting just for the hell of is ain't gonna do anything. plus reports do not stack (whether you like, know or care or not) so having several reports mean nothing. if you gonna report someone do it yourself. but don't cry to the enemy team to report the player.

You are very correct that this behavior is at best useless, and at worst can be toxic as it detracts from the game and distracts people from playing the game, along with being negative to the other players.

I personally do not report anyone unless I see behavior that is reportable with my own eyes.

I report the person asking for reports.

I stay to read post game chat to see if anyone else needs to be reported.

If I see it, I'll report it. If I see someone asking for reports, I report them because even if the player they want reported show they're being toxic or inting, they're not helping anything and making the situation worse for their team by asking for reports.

But if I don't see it, I wont report it. That would be a little silly, especially if they're not doing anything wrong and someone is just trying to start drama.

I won't report if someone ask of course. But if I see someone obviously inting, I sure as hell will report that person even if their entire team agreed to the inting.

I just tell them it would be wrong to report someone without seeing the stuff that I am reporting for first hand

I always tell people that the code to review games is boolean and that their report is sufficient and there's no need to ask for reports.

To answer your question it depends on the situation. If I can tell that an opposing player is clearly trying to troll and ruin the experience for others (such as refusing to follow the pre-established rules in a custom game mode like Draft Racing for example) then I have no problems reporting them. Otherwise if I can't tell if they're actually acting up or not then I won't bother risking falsely reporting them.

needs to be more than just yes or no options

sometimes. every now and then i can tell by how they are playing that they probably deserve to be reported. so then if their team is also saying to report them then i will do it.
