Riot really needs to improve the report system.

This is going to be my problems with the system and just getting some angry out so I do not get banned myself.

It needs to be just changed it feels like nothing happens when you report someone and it feels terrible to play with one. I recently looked at who I reported since I had 3 different people trolling/ afk or were toxic within like 4 games and I was coming off a losing streak so I remember them clearly. I was hoping 2 out of the 3 would be banned but nope all of them are still playing and im pretty annoyed at that. Now to be fair it has been like a day or two but still It was pretty clear one of them was afk and it just feels nothing happens and it really makes me not what too play.

Yes I know it is very hard to punish people in a timely manner but still I think it should be better here are some improvements I would like to see.

  1. When someone is punished you see what they got as a punishment with the players name too other then just saying instant feedback report.
  2. If someone gets enough reports they get banned from ranked I think this would really improve the ranked experience since one players would have more fear of being trolling since they would lose the ability to play ranked and it also will hurt people that give up since they could also lose the ability to play ranked.
  3. Add more people or develop a better system for banning people.

Reasons they won't do some of this:

  • Giving out personal names in feedback is name-shaming. Name shaming is pretty much BM, which is also why you avoid putting names in this post. It'd be very hypocritical if the company name shamed you...and it would also get them into a slew of libel (written slander) lawsuits if someone screenshotted that feedback report to further slander the offensive player after a punishment was meted out.

  • Ranked ban has actually been used before...but was swiftly denounced because of allegations of report abuse costing non-toxic people ranked rating. Sure...we've all heard that line before, but it was essentially deemed too much of a hassle to incorporate ranked bans over just straight up bans. Also on the same grounds of report abuse, until something can be done to help quell it (as it is a thing) there's not really going to be such a thing as a "better system" because there are going to be very vindictive people who exploit any system for their own gains, regardless of its quality.
