Really bad homophobic comments

Recently played a game and there with a homophobic guy on the opposite team. He was saying “ you can chose not to be gay” “You can stop being like stop be depressed” “being gay is a disability” “KILL ALL ...” etc things like that. As a gay league player, that really makes me uncomfortable. I reported after the game of course And I didn’t not open anything info about my sexuality to the guy or other players. And the whole thing started by someone saying “ kill me if gay” in the game. It’s not about me, I’m ok with all he said. We should do something more than “mute and report “ about this kinda behaviour in league

I am shocked at the responses in this thread. It's terrible that anyone would talk like that and I am so sorry you experienced it. Please know that, despite some of the ignorance and rudeness in this thread, there is a huge community of people who support you and are against this kind of toxicity/homophobia both in-game and irl. <3

Why would you tell a private information to unknown people in a video game? Just mute someone if you feel uncomfortable. If he really said "Kill all ..." then you should create a ticket and report him. You can even ask them to file a police report. He may be dangerous to society if he thinks that some people deserve to die for no reason.

Y'all need to chill out. It's okay for this guy to feel offended about what someone says. You can be offended and not be "overly sensitive". It doesn't matter if it's online or not, hateful words still come from a living human being somewhere who hates your guts. It doesn't even sound like OP is whining or taking it to heart. All he's doing is pointing out an issue that you guys shouldn't be defending.

Please remove this post and create a support ticket. It's against forum rules to name and shame people, no matter how bad they are. Your beef is with this person, and should be moderated by Riot Support, and not dragged into the public where we have no say one way or the other in your affairs.

How did they even know? Your name might be an indication, but you probably chose to give them that information and delivered yourself on a silver platter there. Don't give anybody any information about yourself, they will just use it to get back at you. They don't deserve to know anything and they have no way of knowing anything unless you're the one telling them in the first place.

lol awkward but no one cares. just mute them and move on with your life. thats what the mute is for. this is the world we live in. people just dont care about others much. but they like to poke at their feelings. so mute ppl that do that to you. i wouldnt even message them in chat because then it gets worse. i just mute all every game. riot should take away chat. and give voice chat. its way better.
