Banned for use of Third Party Software after account being hacked
Recently I started playing LoL again after quitting for months. Upon returning, I noticed I was in bronze league with a lot of Riven games played. As I don't play Riven and was a beast before I quit, I came to the conclusion that someone had been using my account and promptly changed my password and ran virus scans (virus scan came up clean.) Riot had also sent me an email that password was reset in Jan as they suspected I was hacked due to suspicious login activity, but I just changed the password and moved on. On Monday, while I was queued with a friend, I was disconnected due to a login on another computer (unfortunately I didn't screenshot this). I logged back in, played a game with my friend, and reset my password and ran virus scans directly after (scan came up clean again.) Last night, at around 4 a.m., I received an email that my account had been permanently banned for use of third party software (I was at work at the time and haven't played the game since my game with my friend on Monday). I opened a ticked as soon as I saw the email, but have yet to receive a response. I've sent Riot copies of every correspondence I've had with them (password changes, suspicious activity email, etc.), as well as a screenshot of my last virus check, and a copy of my ID (so they can compare it to my billing info).
I want to ask the community:
1. Has anyone been in a similar situation as this and what actions they had taken to recover their account (and if they were able to get their account unbanned).
2. How long does it take Riot to respond to matters such as this.
3. Are there any programs that can cause Riot's automated system to accidentally ban a player (I often have Steam, Guild Wars 2, or Microsoft edge running in the background in addition to Razer synapse, Curse Voice (Twitch Voice now) and Skype).
4. Are they any additional actions I should take to try to recover my account?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Vellec
