How much does adding a comment to a report help?

Title. Does the system look at comments? Do commented reports get sent to Rioters for further investigation? Do commented reports result in punishments more often than non-commented reports?

i asked that myself a couple of times and the answer i always got is "the comment is pointless, unless a human review is triggered. in this case, your comments might help explain what happened"

it helps give an idea of what to look at for the difficult cases when they do manual reviews.

other than that, no difference on how it works systemically.

I don't think it changes anything at all.

For me, it depends on what I'm reporting. If it's basic verbal toxicity, I'm less likely to write in the comments. If it's gameplay--especially if the players said little to nothing--I'll write out what I saw them doing.

you get an automated response and it is never looked at again. its the sad truth.

If you report for flaming then it does not matter since Rito punishes for everything flaming related.

if you report for trolling/inting then it does not matter since these type of behaviors are never punished.
