Chat restriction without being toxic??

I haven't gotten a ban or chat restriction in about 2 years, but this morning I randomly got a 10 game chat restriction on my smurf for not saying anything toxic at all. The game was over, every player on our team was losing and I'm pretty sure we lost before hitting the 20 minute mark. That aside, knowing there's no chance of winning I was just chatting with my opponent over all chat. Did I get banned from an automated system or did someone at Riot actually go through these logs and deem them as toxic behaviour? The first time I get banned in 2 years for a reason like this is just ridiculous

my guess would be that this^ is what did it unless your other chatlogs have more things to show

You are arguing with someone and belittling them instead of playing the game. Toxic? Nah. Annoying to everyone else on your team who just wants to play the game? Yup. When you argue with someone, remember the 3 other people on your team who have nothing to do with it.

If I had to guess, I would guess they went with the "negative attitude" justification. Doesn't really matter what we think. Their game, their rules.

Yeah calling someone a troll is implying that they're playing SO BAD that theyre trying to lose on purpose. Its obviously an insult and thats what the rules are there to deter. Pretty standard chat restriction. Sorry dude. At least now you know thats against the rules.
