Remove the surrender option for normals.

I'm here just to have fun, i really hate it when people surrender in normal games.. I'm trying to learn and people just surrender because apparently we are losing :/ and if the vote doesn't go through they will just afk/leave the game or tilt which will make me angry because there is one less person playing the game on our team.

The option should be kept for ranked only because it's understandable why people would surrender when being in a losing situation (To move onto the next game and climb)

With all due respect, the Surrender feature isn't going to be removed from Normals matches just because you want to play the matches out. If your four other teammates decide that the match isn't winnable or worth the effort to fight through, they are allowed to cede the match.

...and if the vote doesn't go through they will just afk/leave the game or tilt which will make me angry because there is one less person playing the game on our team.

Then report the player in question. If you're certain it's a ragequit explicitly because of a failed Surrender vote, report them for Leaving the Game/AFK and Intentionally Feeding, and add a comment detailing that they ragequit the match over a failed Surrender vote.

But those few bad apples don't serve as a reason for the Surrender feature to be removed from Normals.

We're all here to have fun, but fun is subjective and different for everyone. Just because you're having fun, doesn't mean other people are, and if they're not having fun, obviously they're going to want out. You can't expect people to stick it out for your fun.

I completely disagree and actually lean towards the opposite viewpoint. Of course, there should be surrender option in both modes, imo. But if anything, get rid of it in ranked where each win means more and surrendering is guaranteeing your loss of LP.

Thing is, they can likely see that you're new and have no hope of winning. Most people won't cater to that one person who is new and trying to learn the game. When they've already learned their champion or are proficient with their level of game play! Why should they wait for you to learn? If you want to learn and don't mind losing games then it'd be best to play with a premade of newbies like yourself. This is a win-win situation. I'd suggest going with a full 5-man squad. You can look for potential new players on the boards or find the League discord to reach out to anyone else who is new and plays at the same times as you.

Good luck! [galio-happy]

People that are optimistic "we can win guys, they might disconnect" wasting my time and hold me as hostage in games are my favorite, there is no need to play the game 40 more minutes just to try to return into the game (and it's almost impossible s10), just move on, you didn't lost your life by losing some normals.

If Graves can have his cigar then we can also have our surrender vote!

And just a second ago, i had a completely winnable game thrown out of the window by 3 premades who started griefing after me and some other player pressed no on surrender.

actually what a player does if a surrender doesn't go through is keep ff spamming because there is absolutely no penalty for doing so. but i do agree with your point. norm players are too competitive and if they aren't winning they'll just cry and ff. norms are for fun and fun only. if surrender isn't removed there should be at least a penalty tied to it so as to hinder spamming. once or twice is fine but after that penalties are added starting with a reduction in player exp. second a forced loss on the account (like an DC). next a prevention of earning tokens, chests, etc but honor staying the same and finally if they keep spamming they get honor locked for dishonorable gameplay for grieving and giving up. surrender spamming is the worst form of grieving and riot won't do shit to prevent that.
