does this game seriously chat restrict me for saying stfu? is that a joke? if its not clear, the person i was talking to was just pummeling me with insults. And somehow im the one that gets reported? please tell me this is a mistake.

While that other person was harassing you, you were also harassing them. I would've reported BOTH of you.

I mean, you won't get chat restricted for one game. It takes multiple reports to punish your account, unless your behavior was extremely toxic.

So, you are either not telling us everything, or your previous chat history might be toxic too.

Not the worst I've seen but it could be just the fact that you spoke a lot throughout the game doing nothing to contribute to actually winning at all. Plus I believe asking for reports can be considered harassment if you do it multiple times (which you did) so that's likely why you got flagged.

Asking for reports is reportable and can give you a chat restriction Especially if you've been constantly toxic

Since most people in here don't know how it actually works, I will answer it for you.

Asking for reports is NOT against the rules. However, Riot still has their automated system set up to detect someone who says the word "report" a lot. In most cases, someone who uses the word "report" a lot is actually harassing other people by threatening to report them. That is where asking for reports IS against the rules. When you harass someone with it or weaponize it.

You can ask for people to report someone but only ask once. Don't say the word, "report" too many times. Also, don't use key words like, "inting, toxic, report, garbage, trash, or stfu" because they will accumulate and trigger the automated system. Then Riot Support won't look at the context at all if you appeal it. They care more about defending the system than protecting you from trolls or being consistent. Unfortunately for you, you did use harassment so it will be easy for Riot Support to defend the system in this case. As stated earlier, they don't care about context so they don't give a damn about what was said to you. Avoid key words and don't type too much in one game (You didn't type too much in this game, you just used too many key words).

As long as you don't do it too often... You are actually more safe if you just AFK or leave the game than you would be if you respond.

i guess my question is.. what specifically in this chat log is toxic, the asking for reports? is this what i suppose, cant be done?

Also, it's not clear what punishment you got. All you said is that you were reported. Reporting someone, in and of itself, means nothing. You could report that Kled who stays positive, mutes toxicity and plays without trolling or inting and the system will thrash that report. Or you could report that inting, trolling, ZTP-spewing Lux and the system will ban her.
