he/she/it has a very condescending attitude towards players who disagree with riot. and a very white knightish personality. i feel like this type of person should not have any sort of mod rights. im concerned i may even be risking a forum ban by making this post

Of all the things you post, you think an Arbiter call-out thread is the one that'll push you over into a forum ban? Criticism is fine. Feel free to criticize Chermorg. Feel free to criticize the other moderators. Stay within the rules, especially the one pertaining to not being a jerk, and you'll be fine.

If you have specific examples of behavior that could be improved upon, you're more than free to post it here or in the Moderation Discord. Ultimately, if things don't work out, then things don't work out. But from the moment volunteers are onboarded to the point where potentially we've exhausted our solutions, we'll work with the volunteers to ensure that they're putting that effort in to grow in both knowledge and empathy.

I can understand gender can be ambiguous on the internet....but "it"? How petty are you?

Personally, I think Chermog feels a bit too hostile to be an arbiter. I don't agree with OP's wording here.

No, I would never claim to be able to be in the position myself.

We'll see what happens.

He's one of the most dedicated Riot worshippers on this forum (and there are alot of them). He'd be perfect for it.

This has nothing to do with player behavior. Go to the boards section if you're unhappy with how things are run on the boards or go into the discord.

This is true though. Take any stance other than completely affirmative and Chermorg uses very passive aggressive language and wording, in addition to down-voting every comment you make even if its completely neutral in nature. I don't think that taking away arbiter status is necessary, but Chermorg acts more as a domineer rather than a guardian of the boards, and that needs to be noted, as acting hostile in any way in league should be looked down upon, even if you are an arbiter of a community.

I haven't seen examples of this so called 'condescension' if you have examples to provide them please by all means, share. But don't just make wild accusations without any proof to back it up. That's just slander libel.

I think this post is abit harsh. I read the forums almost daily but post rarely. Chermorg posts daily and generally with pretty solid advice. Yeah sometimes he gets into arguments but who hasn't on these boards. Now that he is a arbiter he can be trained how to comment and give even better advice.

What I do think that has been missed is the fact of name and shaming. Also this post should of been handled a lot better. It should of being addressed privately to the op and the moderators not left up on a public forum. I think chermorg will be a good arbiter but other aspects on these boards needs to be looked at. Badly.

Congratulations, your wish has been fulfilled. Chermorg's "status" as a forum arbiter/moderator has been revoked. Likely due to years of complaint build up and abuse on his behalf. That alone is cause to rejoice.

As Wuks so delicately put it, give us one example. Quote Chermorg. Something that isn't pure conjecture.
