Leaverbuster how does it work?

How does leaverbuster actually work? Does it calculate bans based on raw amounts of games left? Does it calculate it using some percent of games left or is there another way it does? I ask because I play a lot of normals and aram and lets just say it: Forget about the saying that bronze v is a hell. Trust me I have been there. You should try to queue up for a aram instead people leave and "nobody" cares. People simply don't care or (often enemies) respond with phrases like "It is just aram if you want to play seriously go play ranked". Lets be honest playing seriously and playing fair is not the same. I agree that you can relax a bit and you should not be supposed to tryhard every aram because the queue is meant to be fun. But I can't enjoy the game when it is so unfair. I think the gamemode is fun but it ain't so fun when half of the games are deciced by someone disconnecting or going afk. And to all of you out there thinking well then if you know people go afk there why do you still queue up then. I do it because it takes less time than a normal game so I play it when I have more limited time and because I don't think it is fun playing normals and ranked all the time. So when I look up players that have left in some of the arams I have played then I see one thing. That is that they have not been punished and actually queued up to another game today then left that game and now they are in a new game. How is that fair?
