Having a "leave" in a Co-op match shouldn't result in a punishment.

Many people play co-op to test out champions or get a faster win of the day. Usually one or 2 players missing doesn't ruin the game for remaining players since that the person that did stay in the game will get more resources for himself/herself allowing their practice to be more enjoyable. If a player disconnects in co-op, a bot also becomes "afk" thus evening out both sides of the match. So adding leaver buster on a person that left a co-op match isn't a fair punishment as the person who left already doesn't recieve XP or IP for the time he did spend in the game and leaver buster should be for people who left games that punish teams harsher for afk players like normals or ranked.

if you just want to test out a new champion, play custom matches against bots if you plan to leave before the game is done.

To an extent I agree with them that you shouldn't be leaving period. We have customs if you want to test out builds as well as getting that new mode soon (tm). I mean if they let leavin be ok in co-op you are basically telling people (usually new people) it's perfectly ok to leave your games!

I say that I think it's stupid to punish someone for leaving Co-Op vs AI, but that's from the perspective of someone who has been playing for 6 years. Sarutobi above me made a good point that not having the system in place in bots may make new players think it's alright to leave games. Thinking back to when I first started playing, I played a standard bot game as Fiddlesticks (this was before my account was even level 30), and a few minutes in, one of my teammates leaves. Now, this would have been no big deal if a bot AFK'd to match mid-game leavers at that point, but they only left if someone never connected in the first place. My team was a team of noobs, just like me, and none of them had any idea how to deal with a 4v5, so we got stomped by the bots. After 14 minutes, I was the only one left even still connected and the bots were on the Nexus.

this kind of practice may tho require small amount of punishment as yes the bots try to even it out for you but at the same time make it harder for new people to get there practice for pvp as i sure as hell will not leave if some one on the enemy team does
