"I warned you"

I say these words too often. I barely go one game without saying "I warned you" after spending the past ten minutes doing nothing but warning people against stupid ideas or that we need to claim one objective or another before the enemy does.

I don't know what it is. People like to ignore the most obvious problems/issues that I shouldn't need to point out, but I have to anyways. Then they like to scream at me for ignoring the exact thing I warned them about. I'm tired of it. I'm far beyond being tired of it. I'd LIKE to be tired of it again. Worse yet, after people ignore me and I told them how many times I warned them after the incident occurs, they continue to scream at me for "pointing out the obvious". The obvious that they chose to ignore ten times over. The only thing they ever choose to consistently do is scream at me. And I'm tired of it. I'm tired of being everyone's eyes and ears that they'll just ignore, get bitten in the ass for it, and then scream at me for their own elective ignorance. And guess what? Most of the people that post in this thread will also scream at me. People love to scream at me.

I understand your frustration when people make stupid mistakes. We all make mistakes though, it's part of the game. Heck, I missed my ult with Malph in a recent game. The person who is making said mistakes will take your comment as condescending and passive aggressive. A lot of the players don't want advice even if it is in the form of constructive criticism. The best thing to do is keep quiet unless you have something nice to say. If people are continually making stupid mistakes you could do the following: Whenever you play with a person that did well (on your team or the opposing team), send them a friend request afterwards and say something like, "Hey great job, we should play again sometime". Then make a note on your friend list as to what lane this person was playing. After a while you should have a decent arsenal of friends that you know play well with proper mechanics.

but .. if you've got real good map awareness / macro decision making, you should ping a tonne, or get a blue ward and reveal the enemy (or even use spooky ghosts).

find some way to show that map awareness to others. you can also choose to cover them as well or get a cross map objective while they are busy.

there are ways to still climb while your team mates are oblivious.

One of the most annoying things ever is that guy who always points out others mistakes... My rule is: people will usually know when they made a mistake (At least if they died for it or something went really poorly they will) and if they don't realize it, then it's usually hopeless to point out to them anyway. It's always extremely painful to make a dumb play, but the worst part is when your teammates add salt to that fresh wound and tell you the mistake you are already beating yourself up over.

Please... don't be that guy...
