Suicidal thoughts

O boy somebody told me to kill myself ONLINE :((((((( I better go and do it :((((( Or should I speak to somebody at Riot ?? Because they clearly know what leads people to suicide. Lets be real now. People suiciding over words on the internet (kys in particular) is pure bullshit. Nobody and I mean it NOBODY would kill himself for such a reason (mainly when talking about a video game). People start thinking about suiciding when they are undergoing stress or experiencing depression. This has absolutely nothing to do with league (or any game). I don't know what's their benefit for making this 1 word get so much attention when it comes to toxicity but its definitely wrong and stupid.

They can already be stressed and / or depressed when someone tells them things like that.

Another individual can always be a catalyst.

What's wrong and stupid is thinking there's any justification for telling someone to kill themselves, on any platform in any situation. It's easy not to do it and if you do you deserve whatever punishment you get

Because you don't actually know what is going in that other persons life. Hell it isn't even just a matter of "kys", juat that is clear and precise.

Back during the Riven/Yasuo event i was playing LoL with a buddy. He was having a rough spot irl because of job and relationship issues. We were playing TT bots to complete missions for the event. During the match I told him to "Fuck off" because he needed kills (for mission) and I ksed a few. After I said "Fuck off" though, I heard the Discord noise for someone leaving chat and A Summoner has Disconnected. I got another friend to drive over to the one who left. When he got there, both got on Discord. "Sorry. I don't know what happened. Something just sort of snapped when you said that. I was just booting back up when Frag got here." (Frag taking 15 minutes to get there.)

That was with someone I knew. Someone I knew what was happening in there life and I had to be afraid that I pushed him over the edge. We don't know the situation for the people on the other side. But do you really want to potentially be the straw that broke and pushed someone over the edge?

If I'm not wrong, if you tell people to end their lives in some countries you can get fined

i agree: maybe not 100%, but the majority wouldnt kill themselfes over "kys". that doesnt mean i want some disabled aholes telling another human to end his/her life over a damn game. so be a normal human and get help seriously

Who gets mad enough at anything to hope someone dies?

Telling someone to kill themselves over a game is still a terrible thing to do. Doesn't matter if they actually do it or not. You're still wishing death and/or harm to someone, and that's honestly the worst thing you can do other than making death threats.
