Can you send a support ticket to report someone in this situation?

I just dodged a game where the bot and support were duo'd. They hover Cho and Blitz respectively, and we ask for clarification. Cho says to check his winrate, so I do. 69% in the last 29 games, which is good, but I also point out to him that he is a KDA player, with an average of 6.5:1 KDA ratio. I say (literally) "Sure, but you're a kda player, not what we want to see." He and his support almost instantly threaten to run it down mid because I point out that the Cho is a KDA player.

I have never seen someone threaten for something so simple. I didn't insult him in any way or do anything else to make them angry.

Would support do something about this guy? Or is sending in a ticket hopeless?

You can send a support ticket, but what outcome are you hoping for? They absolutely should not have threatened to run it down. But here's a couple of points -

They hover Cho and Blitz respectively, and we ask for clarification.

They do not owe you an explanation of the champions they want to play. You do not owe them an explanation of the champion you want to play either.

Sure, but you're a kda player, not what we want to see.

The person has a 69% win rate, and you're telling them what "we" want to see like you're the team captain. You are not. You don't get to dictate what and how people play.

Their response was immature, but you were acting as their superior rather than their equal. Nobody owes you an explanation for how they want to play the game. You started out a match by criticizing them, making the game adversarial from the very beginning. This is not how you should start matches with your own team.

From a behavioral standpoint nothing is wrong with being a k'da player. threatening to run it down though, if they threatened it often then yes it's punishable.
