Riot wants pre-school social interactions

Riot doesnt want people to actually express themselves. They want obligatory politically correct phrases to be regurgitated at the right times and a perfect world with no conflict. In a competitive game. Its kind of a joke. Any conflict no matter how minor is responded to with disdain and punishment. They are trying to inculcate every player with a preschool mentality of sharing and caring and that everyone is always a winner no matter what. So if you express yourself, even as you would in real life amongst friends or any REAL people in any REAL social situation, you're deemed "toxic". Which is a nonsensical phrase used to refer to anyone who doesnt subscribe to this preschool mentality of "dont say no no words, you might hurt timmy's feelings". Gg riot. Should rename your game to "Little League Of Funtime and Happiness" and designate it an official safe-space. Hey, you could appeal to the millenials and gender-fluid who need a happy place. Honestly, just remove the chat system. Not everyone is always going to adhere to your silly take on morality. The only thing you people want to see in the chat is the obligatory: "gg" "have fun" "nice play!" and stupid PC shit like that.

mature adults actually know how to respect each other more and give properly worded constructive criticisms.

Compare that to the immature beings that like to throw unproductive insults at each other.

I think Riot is onto something good.

I dunno bout you, but I don't call friends or people I know f%%%%ts or n%%%%rs nor do I call them retards or autistic, and I definitely don't tell my friends or people IRL to go commit suicide.

Riot is trying to promote civility and sportsmanship, not hate filled, offensive trash talking. There's a major difference between competitive trash talking and the things you're talking about that would violate what people consider safe spaces. You need to seriously reevaluate your life if civility is beyond your capabilities.

naw, its just that you have to master pre-school social interactions before you can handle the more complex interactions this game requires.

You can definitely express yourself, but you have to do so in a mature and respectful manner. If you don't or won't then you can expect to be held accountable for your poor behavior, just like in real life. If you want to harass and insult your friends in a full pre-made group and they're all okay with it then that's fine, but just don't do it when around random strangers who won't understand your intentions without an explanation.

Sounds like someone wants to be able to be prejudiced, racist, sexist, homophobic, and/or otherwise bigoted to get under the enemy team's skin so that they no longer have to win on their own merit but on the distraction and fury of the enemy team.

When you normalize hate speech (by not calling it out and/or punishing it), you implicitly justify treating a person as a second class citizen or even subhuman.

There's a difference between trash talking and being a terrible human being.

You never studied, neither you had a higher job than a fucking vendor lol. If someone in my team starts to blame a other guy ... I would kick him after ONE warning. Get a life, kid.
