So, i got a chat restriction because i told some assholes to leave me along for flaming me because i had a bad game?! i blocked them after they wouldn't stop, so i wouldn't end up in a real argument. But, ya know. give me the chat restriction. that makes a lot of sense... get your shit together. we're not all children. guess i should've reported them too, right? you guys suck. i've only had one chat restriction before and it's because i hard core flamed the person back for it. i stopped doing that years ago. i guess nothing is good enough for your bots though, right? Good job. Don't comment on this telling me I'm a toxic player. You'll be ignored. This, right here, is the most "toxic" I've fucking been all god damn year. and frankly, fuck you riot. you earned it. being nice don't mean shit to you guys anyway. clearly. Cuz I've been fucking trying. and succeeded. I get flamed by 3 people in a game because these ass hats are cranky early in the morning, but clearly i was wrong, right? suck it. I'm done being nice. reform my ass.

If you only told them to ease off of you and leave you alone, you almost certainly wouldn't have gotten a Chat Restriction. Post your chat logs - there's bound to be more to your story than just "telling people to leave (you) alone".

i blocked them after they wouldn't stop, so i wouldn't end up in a real argument.

You probably should've started with muting rather than addressing flamers directly.

Considering that you haven't presented your chat logs, we can't take your story at face value. For all we know, you probably spent the whole match flaming them.

Ahh, yes. You seem to be the absolute epitome of niceness, when, in being chat restricted, you don't consider evaluating your chat and seeing what you might have done wrong, but instead choose to lash out, throw about insults, and throw a fit.

Doesn't matter who starts it, if you join in the flame you become a flamer, and you will be treated as one by the punishment system.

First off.

Provide chat-long.

Then you can post your claim. If you want to have a discussion with the board, provide them with the necessary evidence so they can review them before giving their opinion. If you're not here for a discussion, but rather just wanting to post just to post an insult directly to Riot, then send them a ticket.

Secondly.

Because no one is going to take your side with that sort of post. Also, you were never nice in the first place. You earned your penalty due to toxicity, not niceness. If you have such a problem with responding, then do what everyone else does, mute them. A simple click from ever hearing from the toxic player again. Unless you're looking for encouragement to be able to respond to toxicity, then once again, you earned the penalty, because you rather put aside the game itself just so you can type immaturely.

I totally understand you're frustrated. You feel like you've been punished for doing nothing wrong.

If you just told them to leave you alone because they were flaming you, and left it that, it sounds like it might be a mistake. You should send in a support ticket and they can check. Also, you could try posting your chat logs. That way, we can give our opinion concerning whether A) we think it's a mistake, or B) if the chat restriction was deserved.

If there IS negativity or toxicity in your chat logs we might be able to point out where you could potentially improve, so as not to have your future games result in an increased punishment.

I, for one, hate to see someone end up with a 14-day suspension or permanent ban - especially if it's a result of them reacting to frustration. Don't get me wrong - those guys who SET OUT to be jerks? Who are purposely negative and toxic? I don't care if they get banned at all. But a good player who's struggling? These are people we (those of us in the community who are well-meaning) want to see reform WAY before there's a suspension or permanent ban.

And like I said, maybe it's a legit mistake or oversight. Only way to know for sure is send in a support ticket, and/or post your chat logs.

With the amount of people who play in the world it is much easier for them to have the bots look only at the words that are said by one person and not the whole conversation that is going on and the circumstance in which you said whatever you may have. This way they discourage all people from using certain words or reacting negatively by not making exceptions that can potentially be abused by the people who were being toxic to you.

don't know how to get my chat log. and i swore a bit. not exactly AT them, though. i just have a colorful vocabulary. and i know the bots pick up on that. i just expect ppl to not be asses. i spent most of the time apologizing to my veigar support because i knew i was having a shit game. i told him to start taking farm because i knew it was just going down hill from there. i get flamed a lot though and generally say nothing. I get called retarded because I like to run tp bot. or because i didn't flash to get a kill while they still had flash up too. because i don't do exactly what every other player thinks i should be doing. or because i didn't b back when my support did once because i didn't have enough gold to get what i needed yet. keep in mind, i didn't die, and i had tp, so nothing even went wrong because of it. but i was still flamed for it. i'm generally pretty friendly to other players unless they are total tools. which, in that case, i mute them. but frankly, enough gets to be enough.

and, btw, i'm not looking to get this fixed. i already played through my chat restriction. it's no big deal. i just wanted to tell riot to kiss my ass. that's it. i'm not toxic in games, honestly. it doesn't matter whether any of you believe that or not. but i'm not one to take shit lying down either. I'm gong to call BS when i see it. outside of the game mind you. freedom of speech and all that. i know why i got the chat restriction whether it was justified or not. the world isn't fair and i don't expect it to be. but, like i said, i'm going to call it out when it happens. i'm just not going to disrupt a game to do it.

there's no need to respond or comment to me at all. it doesn't matter. i just wanted to say my piece. i don't need validation for my own piece of mind. that sounds a bit rude of me, but i don't mean it like that. but, frankly, and i know if you're all honest about it, you know this community is toxic as hell and always has been. therefor, coming here to have an actual conversation about something like this would be a massive waste of time.

Thank you to the two or three people who were actually constructive here though. you guys are the real mvps.

Why not mute them? You know... that speaker looking button on top of their items when you press tab?

Of course, if you don't want reform then you can just keep going and eventually get permabanned.
