(FYI: I am unranked and this was a blind normal game. I usually play with higher bronze-Low Plat, I know I can't expect much from Bronze players, but I do believe this is a basic understanding everybody should have.) The Lanes were: Top: Galio - Teemo JG: Nid - Amumu Mid: Ahri - Zed Bot: Jinx+Karma - Xayah+Teemo Probably one of the more frustrating games I've had. I made Zed temporarily rage quit after winning our first few all out trades in lane; he left at 20 mins in and came back a little afterwards. Their bot lane fed and their Amumu did not secure any objectives in the early game/ganks were not that meaningful. I noticed that at the 25 min mark we were losing our lead and they got a few kills after Nid, Galio, and I tried to siege mid. Nid and Gali kept diving in too far into a comp that has great CC and overall burst damage. At this point, I got concerned because we were doing really well and I had no deaths (I was partially just trying my best to get an S for Mastery 7) and was still, at this point, relatively strong; I told my team that we needed to group up because the opposing team was starting to make a small comeback. Platinum Nidalee replied back with: "Dude ahri chill" and I responded with, "I'm not even mad, I just don't want them to slowly comeback when we had such a nice lead." Like ??? Our questionable Mastery Tier 7 Karma didn't have any vision in our/their jungle, Jinx's overall damage was 11,724 compared to my 52,442 at the end of the game and I was the ONLY one who wanted to get a sweeper against Teemo shrooms (We all know they HURT. Honestly would've had my Blue Trinket if not for negligence). I control warded whenever I could but this was barely of much help either considering you're only limited to one on the map at a time.
Literally 30 minutes in I began telling everyone to start grouping up again since our teamfight was generally good whenever we fought together earlier on in the game and I figured if we got together we could win considering we have a hypercarry ADC and I could just assassinate their immobiles---HOWEVER--Karma would split-push bot, Jinx would split-push top, Nidalee and Galio would go into the jungle together for whoever knows what for, and I would maintain mid since it was the only lane where both towers were down (thanks to me, Zed temp quit). Nidalee preceded to do a terrible Baron call shortly after without our ADC or support, I told her there was no vision and I had just used my sweep to scan for Teemo shrooms near top lane/our top side jungle/our top half of base since he was pushing that inhib. She didn't have any sort of wards either, and I guess you can figure out how that went.
After 30 mins everybody would just go into a different lane (even though I suggested we group up many times) and would either get flanked by a now fed zed/ziggs/amumu, or waste time trying to chase people down, AFTER I PINGED !!!!! to tell them to back off, I wanted us to focus pushing back Supers in our base (they had already managed to get our mid inhib since, once again, nobody wanted to help me defend middle when their team came to siege).
We ended up losing because my own suggestion--albeit not sarcastic, rude, or mean in any way when suggested--was neglected. The enemy team in post game chat was like: "how tf did we win lmao we fed" [sg-lux-2]
So please, from now on
If somebody suggests to your team to group up when it is appropriate, please do.
In this game I obviously made mistakes by making some bad calls, following bad calls, etc. and I tried to rebound from them, but it's even worse when your best call is overlooked by an ego induced playstyle. Do what is best for your team to win, not for yourself.
