An alternative to "Perma banning"

This is just my opinion. I think perma banning anyone just for typing is crazy. Why not take their chat completely for however long. No 5 messages a game. No typing. Add strategic communication by implementing a chat wheel like dota has. People that lose their chat privilege could be placed in que together as often as possible.

If you put all those people in their own queue, sure. Riot has talked about this several times and doesn't like this method(known as prisoners island). Otherwise, no thanks. Having a chat restricted player punishes the whole team by limiting communication. On a more personal level, they are people that I don't want to play with. It isn't that I can't handle w/e they are saying. I just have 0 interest in being around people like that. It just turns not playing into the best option.

It is also basically the system we had until last august. Chat restrictions would just stack indefinitely. People would build up so many that they would never be able to work it off and some would just express their frustration in other ways, aka griefing.

No, getting permbanned means that not even Riot itself wants you playing the game.

We don't have to be punished because ve have a perm'd teammate in our team who can't even communicate properly, or even worse, since there's no perm banning anymore (or at least not a harsher one than the one they already have), there's nothing stopping them from trolling their games on purpose now.

That seems like it would just cause more problems because they'd all end up flaming each other, if they couldn't use chat you'd have no communication, and there would be the case of the oddball legit player getting stuck with a bunch assholes.

Do you want those players who ruin your games via chat to shift into ruining games via gameplay instead?

That's your opinion. Not everyone that has been banned for typing would resort to trolling or ever trolled in a game. You don't know what people would do.

Riot already tried long term extended chat restrictions. It is not opinion. It does result in offenders resorting to gameplay trolling instead.

Riot does not approve of Prisoners Island. Placing offenders in a que together will make it harder for them to reform, and reform is Riot's goal.

There are no alternatives, no ways out, nothing. It is how it is.

Your only options are to quit the game or keep trying to level a new account until you get sick of how dull the game is with no champions and lose all desire to play any more (and then quit the game).
