Why do people keep using “Enemy Missing” ping for everything?

It seems now a days that people keep using “Enemy Missing” for every reason BUT an enemy actually missing. Examples: If someone hasn’t left the base after 10 seconds, if someone didn’t stay in a fight and die so the other person can get away, if the jungler needs leashed, if someone running the risk of getting attacked if they don’t move away (news flash: THERE ARE PINGS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE LATTER TWO). Can anyone think of a reason why that ping is used so much when its not needed? If YOU yourself do it could you tell me why? I really need answers before i go mad

I notice this too.

I think because it is a question mark "?". People are taking it in the context of a question -- as in "What are you doing?"

My 2 cents.

It's a question mark, so it's "what are you doing?" or "what the.......?"

It’s a way to be toxic without being caught by the system.

Im a little slow at catching petty shit like that... took me a long time to realize that people pinging missing were actually just trying to insult you lol. Fucking kids. So petty and so low.

It's a way to be an asshole without gameplay trolling or using chat.
