What is with people calling someone noob in ARAM games?

http://prikachi.com/images/268/9537268r.png On my second new account I decided when I hit lvl 6 to play some ARAM, to hopefully level up faster. And I get Sona, I never played her before, even on my main account (which is this one), and since I know she is a mage I build her AP. One of my teammates called me useless, called me on that I had summoner 6 not summoner 4 because I haven't unlocked that summoner spell yet, and to play with bots. After the game ended he tell me that my damage was "trash" and I myself was "trash" and like every well though "insult" to play Fortnite. We won the game, damage is not the objective in ARAM, but to destroy the enemy nexus. This is not the first time that it happened, why do people expect everyone to play like a pro in all places ARAM?

This is the chat after the game ended. I hide the name for obvious reasons, I reported him as well, but that probably will do nothing.

Btw, the punishment system works based on consistency x severity.

So on the surface, your report may not do anything, but it helps the system build a case against the toxic player.

I would guess the person calling someone 'noob' is annoyed that even though the team had one of the highest win rate champions, the team lost (or at least had hard time). That is very human and understandable, but even so, that person should work on his behavior. He might even be so much of a newbie himself, that he doesn't know that he can check on the mastery level of each player in the match during loading screen. If he had done so, he had noticed that you have no mastery with the champion at all, and that your level is so low, that you cannot use flash yet. Apparently he didn't check that for some reason or another. Anyways, this leads to the usual guideline below.

My advice? The usual guideline; mute the annoyance (which you cannot do in post game lobby), don't talk back (or with/to/about the annoyance), report him in appropriate report types and forget him. This kind of guideline protects you from being reported yourself and potentially being punished. If you know how to avoid punishment (ie: you are polite, not negative in text), you can even reply to the person - however, if you are prone to losing temper or are prone to being passive-aggressive, I recommend avoiding any chat use - for both your own protection and more positive environment for us all.

The goal of every game mode is to win -- even ARAM, so I'm not sure what you mean here

Try getting rank shamed in ARAM. That's even funnier.

technically noob means "beginner" which many people are in aram.
