Toxic Players are not the Problem, Riot is the Problem

TLDR: Riot gave me a 10 game chat restriction and locked me at honor level 1 for cussing at a Lucian who threw a game by chasing a penta to his death, a Veigar who admitted to intentionally running down mid lane and flamed his team as he did it, and for simply telling a very bad Ekko that he was bad at this game.

Riot, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in your honor/punishment system. I have been playing this game for over three years and have never once received punishment for anything until yesterday.

After downloading the most recent update, I log into the client to see a very surprising message notifying me that I have a 10 game chat restriction and that my honor is now locked. The notification showed me the 3 games that caused my punishment and I read through them thoroughly. I'm not sure if I can copy and paste what was written in these chats, but I will give a very brief, honest synopsis of what happened and then I will explain why this 10 game chat restriction I have is so ridiculous.

Game 1: Our Lucian got a quadrakill at the enemy nexus and instead of winning the game, he chased for the penta and ran into the enemy well and died. The enemy team then ran it down mid and won. My entire team flamed him saying he should have just paid attention and won the game. And yes, we all used cuss words and called him stupid because it was a pointless loss and we were all furious, but nobody said anything out of line worthy of even a slap on the wrist.

Game 2: This was my favorite. We had a Veigar on our team who went 0/7 by the 10 minute mark (look up my match history from 2 weeks ago if you don't believe me) and then said eff this and started running it down mid and inting. He was very vocal about the fact that he was inting and was cussing us out at the same time. So, of course, we all were cussing him out and we lost the game to a very fed enemy mid laner.

Game 3: We had an extremely bad Ekko on our team who blamed everybody but himself and was remarkably toxic and I told him he was bad. Like actually, that was it. I told him he was bad and needed to wake up and pay attention to the game and did not use any foul language or cuss one single time at him. That was all.

Riot, If you can't deal with a few cuss words and feel the need to put restrictions on grown adults for using strong language, then that's really sad. The last game I played where I got punished like a child for using cuss words was NeoPets. I can understand banning somebody for saying something horribly offensive against a race or religion or glorifying a tragic event like the Holocaust or 9/11, but when I'm throwing out a couple cuss words in a game with a Veigar who is literally INTENTIONALLY wasting 35 minutes of my life and ruining the game for 9 other people, I should not be punished. That's honestly pathetic and makes me want to stop playing this game.

So now I have a 10 game chat restriction and am stuck at honor level 1 because I cussed at a Lucian who threw a game by chasing a penta to his death, a Veigar who admitted to intentionally running down mid lane and flamed his team as he did it, and telling a very bad Ekko that he was bad at this game. Honestly, out of those three games, the one and only person who should have any punishment is that Veigar, and guess what everybody, HE DIDN'T GET PUNISHED.

Riot, you all need to punish people for real reasons, not for stupid cuss words or for people getting angry at others who completely waste a large chunk of their day away and completely ruin games of League. Throwing out cuss words does not ruin the game, people can just hit their mute button if it's really that big of a deal for them, that's what it's there for.

Time to grind through 10 games of NeoPets so I can lift this chat restriction, thanks Riot.

It's probably something that you consider small but is against the zero tolerence policy. Racism, self harm, or threat of violence isn't tolerated at all. Using the term KYS (Kill Your Self) as an example is an instant punishment. If you had three things like this in three different games it's possible for your punishment to scale radically. Honestly 10 chat restrictions and an honor lock is a VERY minor punishment. Season is about to end and your honor will be unlocking anyway.

From a person that has had 3 chat restrictions this season. No it's not riots fault. Its yours. Fix your attitude. Learn not to tilt. Toxic is on you. Don't like what someone is saying mute them. That alone will make you a better player. Hopefully the chat restriction will help you realize this as it I had to.

(you can copy and paste your logs here. It is recommended if you're unsure about why you were punished, as some of us have no life and check this board way to much)
