End of Season Rewards with Chat Restriction

Hey everyone,

I recently got a 10 game chat restriction - my first one in years - but a chat restriction no less. I'm not here to defend any of my actions or argue that I "wasn't actually that toxic", but I do want to know how to best spend my time.

**Is there any information on how long the honor rewards stay locked after finishing the 10 game restriction? ** Apparently I need Honor Level 2 to get my end of season rewards (aside, I literally only started playing to get to platinum before the season ended). I'm asking how feasible it is to play matches at all before the deadline. I'm not in college anymore, I have obligations, so I'm only asking if my efforts are practical.

There are a lot of generic, cookie-cutter responses like "just be honorable in your games and it will go away eventually!" or "it's not certain how long it will be" - I would prefer to get something much more concrete. There's definitely an algorithm somewhere in the stack that says after Y number of games + honors received + no negative reports over some duration X, promote someone's honor level. It's a piece of software, not a subjective piece of magic.

I understand that divulging some of the inner workings of how the honor system works might make it easier to circumvent, but the lack of transparency completely demotivates any interest in pursuing additional matches before the season deadline. Why would I spend money on a game that requires me to perform research on Reddit and the forums just to discover how the end of season rewards will be issued, what they'll entail, and how to receive them instead of making it clear in the client?

The algorithm for how honor works is never going to be released for obvious reasons.

Season ends in about 3 weeks. You are not getting this season's rewards.

So yes, there is an algorithm, but no one but Riot knows how it works. You will not find a concrete answer about this unless some Rioter has an stroke and decides to spill company secrets on the boards.

You are free to play matches before the end of the season, I'm not sure what the question there is? Is it whether or not you'll get back to Honor 2 before the season's end? If that's your question, then the answer is probably "Likely not" unless you are going to be dunking A SHIT TON of games in before Nov 11ish. I, nor anyone else, knows exactly what "A SHIT TON" is, but that's the best hope you have if you want to get to Honor 2 before the season's end.

Also, they're not going to have a forgiveness period this year. They only did that last year because of the new Rank/Honor binding system that went into effect that year that surprised people. They specifically said that future years would not get the grace period because people already were expected to understand how Rank/Honor worked together. So that means, you really should have been more careful with your language this close to the season's end, as it may now prevent you from getting your rewards.

i'm not sure if this still works, but if u transfer region to any and then back to na, ur honor lvl gets reset in the process, ur ranked mmr stays the same but u may have to do promos again

it is an expensive way out

I hate to say but unless you reach 1-1 very soon there won't be enough time, basically the system is capped at leveling honor once a week, and the lock count as a checkpoint so assuming you play at least 10 games a day, you can only unlock 1 checkpoint a week, so lemme give an example of how this work.

Once you remove the lock, you have to wait 7 days before you can reach checkpoint 1. Once you got checkpoint 1 you can't reach 2 until another 7 days, so yeah after you removed the lock, you will need 28 mores day to get a whole honor level up. If you want to know if you have time well, try to grind games and reach 1-1, then count the days if you still have 21 days left by that time. Right now people still have time to earn 3 full checkpoints but not 4.

Let's just hope Riot is kind enough to give players an extended time like last year as you were clean all season. While many players got 3 or more restrictions early season but had time to climb back up, they are not more deserving than you. This system is garbage and promote toxicity early season and is a great tool to create bitter players that will flame hard early season, this system is the reason I go ham early season and tell players what I think about them and go easy at the end.
