This Game is Awful For New Players

Tried to play this game after several year break, and I have to say that leveling a new account up to 30 is literally the worst experience I have ever had in a game. Every single game includes someone on either the enemy or my team (typically my team) just straight up inting. No clue why. Not a single text in chat, and even after I report them I still see them from time to time. I'm only level 20 and already I feel like a fucking Vietnam veteran from all this awful player behavior. Unless you are addicted to this game, there is not a single positive thing about this game that can be said. It's awful. And Riot fails to punish these inters unless they type in chat. It's disgusting.

Since you're not actually a new player, it would have been easy for the system to pick up on that and only place you into games that's also filled with smurfs.

Bots are prevalent in the first games. Many times that "intentional feeder" on your team is just a computer program that feeds to level up accounts. Sure many of those accounts get banned but the ones that reach lvl 30 can be sold to players who don't want to endure the leveling experience.

The new player experience is very bad. It has been a few years since I first started but I remember how awful it was. I have also assisted friends who were truly new players in leveling their accounts and it is a terrible, terrible experience. To date out of the 3 friends that I have introduced to the game only one reached level 30 and that player quit directly after reaching 30.

What about me?

I started playing League for the very first time about two weeks ago.

My account level is around 22.

I have people going AFK in the shop after literally two minutes because the jungle didn't gank their lane, or because they didn't have vision/flash and decided it'd be the perfect time to shove a tower and got roamed on.

I'm less than 100 games in and I've resorted to /mute all at the start of every game already.

Granted, I played at the master level in Heroes, but LoL is such a different game, I highly doubt my MOBA experience has somehow notified the system that I should be bumped out of 'new players' and into the 'smurfing' queue.

/Mute all works for a toxic chat, but unfortunately there is no remedy for someone going AFK in the shop two minutes in, leaving you to 4-5 the rest of the game.

It's kind of horrendous honestly.

The game just isn't fun to play anymore. It takes itself too seriously, and Riot thinks that the most fun is just damage and more damage and wow check it out, some stupid mechanics and overloaded kits to facilitate more damage Esports is a stupid concept, and LCS is ruining the game for anyone who just wants to play for fun

its because of matchmaking. in riots matchmaking system if you win you will get harder games and if you lose you will get easier. so if the level is too hard for you and it is not fun, there is a lot of motivation to lose a few.

Talk about broken sh8 like Sylas, i understand that Riot is still trying to ‘balance’ him, i mean every champ riot have released so far is kinda broken. League of legends narrowed its gamestyle from being diverse to a restrictive gameplay. Many people want to climb up the ladder and they will always want to win and that’s the problem when new player are trying to find their comfortable roles. Veterans of this broken game tend to flame new players that will cost their game and Riot is not solving this problem but is nurturing it so much that this game isn’t even worth your time. Riot have destroyed every fun aspect of this game as they tend to be more careless in many areas such as champion creation as Riot always makes a ‘mistake’ by not considring majority of the player’s opinions as they tend to focus more on design and gameplay that Veteran player will exploit and Riot tend to forget the older champions and this is a big problem as many GAME BREAKING champion enters the champion pool, the old champions i can be considered as useless as riot tend to FOCUS more on their new champion and is really doing a terrible job at balancing the game to the point that its not fun and funny anymore, so basically riot does a terrible job at balancing the game and LEAGUE OF LEGENDS have become an unfriendly environment for new olayers that forces them to play very restrictively. Overall this game isn’t worth the time and resources.

i did not have big problem with random feeders when i started (toxic players appeared but i dont recall inters)

It's the same answer as always: it is much easier for the algorithm to identify people who violate the rules in chat than it is to identify an intentional feeder or a troll. If the system were designed to catch every intentional feeder after one game, it'd probably be getting a ton of false positives on people who merely had a bad game.

The game is awful, and has no future in the state it's in now. It is unstable, if you use a Mac, you will be in leave buster for eternity with it crashing on load in. The community is toxic and the amount of players tossing games in ranked is absurd. They do it to boost other players and because they get a cheap thrill out of tilting other players and watching them struggle in games that they can't win because a player is feeding hard or just baiting traps to give the other team kills. Ranked and position is based on cheating in lower ranks and unless you play on a trusted team... you have no chance of ever leaving Iron rank. Riot is bleeding you out, with no intention of fixing the toxic game it has created. Riot owns the word toxic as far as I'm concerned and creates trolls and inters and tossers. Uninstall is the right choice...unless you like having a game and a company piss you off 24/7.

This game punishes good players in low Elo. When you do good they give you shit teammates. You intentionally feed which doesn't exist to riot they give you good teammates.

Not disagreeing here but it's just as bad for old players. Been trying to queue out of Bronze IV and every game has flamers, inters, and trolls.

You think you'll be accepted into the society and the issues would go down as you get more experienced and fit into the team better, it won't. You will come across a new bunch of idiots and it's best you leave this game before the ranked system sucks you in.

I dislike how new players are forced to slowly level up just to unlock specific runes. So you can't play your favorite champions because you have to wait until you unlock a summoner spell/runes that work decently with the champiom.

TBH, you seem like the one behaving badly, if you report "inters" all the time, whom might actually just be players who are having a bad game or whatever, but i dunno, maybe if u stoped flaming them, they wouldnt int as much. :)

The game is awful for anyone not abusing those 50% winrate champions,you pick anything else and you're fucked,that's what the games come to. Quit about 3 months ago,I couldn't take it anymore and I wanted to have fun guess what,you can't have fun playing Kalista against Lucian or Vayne.

"Unless youre addicted to the game". Id like to say im not addicted, I am level 72 and ive been playing for eight months. I have not had the same experience as you. Im not sure why, but ive only ever seen someone actually inting probably around 3 times in my eight months of gameplay. Its more often that I see a toxic player than an inter. I love the game, and have little bad things to say about. I would recommend it even.

really? that is your complain here? ppl inting? lol. try to make a new account FOR REAL and play a normal. over 50% of the ppl you meet are toxic smurfs that just go mental in the chat because its just a lv 3 or so account. the toxicity is the real problem when you are low level. its insane.
