How to deal with toxic people by myself

Oh damn, I ran into some interesting people in a rank game. Two of them try to break me using /all chat. One tries to guilt trip me saying that I called him the N word and that I told him to kill himself. Other guy keeps pointing out that my Ornn is garbage and not a meta tank even though he is 1/8 Ekko. My fucking dumb ass didn't even mute the chat and bottle all of this in and fought back. Wasting time typing instead of playing. I can tell they are projecting like a mother fucker. Why the fuck do I have to constantly deal with these people. It makes me so god damn sad and depressed.

It's not just in a game, people are like this in real life too.

Video games are supposed to be fun because you are supposed to throw away all your real-life problems away and escape into the made-up world. I understand that good at playing a game is a skill but having a good personality is another skill (sportsmanship). Sorry for the bad grammar. I tried my best.

My background: I'm an artist. Interested in sociology; people interaction.

Eh .. just ignore them and mute them. The system will review every report, but the review can result in "nothing found", and if that's the case, their reports will be tossed out and nothing will happen to your account.

If you wish, you can just report them and let the system review their chat, if toxicity was found, it will add to their accumulated toxicity score. When it passes a certain threshold, they will get punished.

Also, 1 report is all that is needed to trigger a review. More reports from the same game doesn't mean a thing.

Because people can suck. Most flamers are people with anger and emotional control issues, but in real life they're held back by fear of social repercussions. With the cover of anonymity they let their flame and toxicity free. Then you also have people who genuinely just enjoy making people angry.
