Riddle me this Rito

So after playing for 6 years and NEVER being chat restricted this season i got a 10 game and 25 game chat restriction and then this weekend a 14 day suspension.

My issue is not with getting suspended or punished ( i know all these 12 year old girls need their safe spaces and words hurt them so badly that Rito has to ONLY punish players based on chat and nothing else).

My issue is this. My punishments are MONTHS and HUNDREDS of games apart. I first got the 10 game chat restriction back in like December/January time frame. I played the matches and was a nice little boy and said NOTHING in chat at all cuz of all the cry babies. I even was given hextech crafting reward privileges back.

NOW HERE IS THE ISSUE I DO HAVE.

In order to get hextech rewards privileges back your punishment lvl has to decay, correct? This is an official statement per Rito.

So why is it that MONTHS after i was punished the first time (via 10 game chat restriction) was i given a 25 game?????????? IF we are going by EXACTLY what Rito has said then my behavior had improved (can be seen because hextech rewards were enabled for me to earn again) then my punishment lvl should have also decayed.

Therefore, punishments should of been as followed. 10 game restriction, reformed(3 months passed), 10 game restriction (2 months ago) and NOW a 25 game chat restriction. NOT a 2 week ban.

This is actually false. Reformed enough to regain hextech rewards is not the same has having a punishment level decay.

Happened to me I got chat restricted for 10 games because I was defending my friend and I from the trolls and flamers.

My friend didn't select smite on his jungle, which was Jinx, something he enjoys doing a lot is playing random junglers in Normals because.. Being Diamond he enjoys theory crafting, unfortunately he couldn't select smite because the servers basically gave him the middle finger. It kept saying connecting to server, and he thought it would still select it, it didn't.

So people opened the flood gates of rage, and hatred. I shouldn't have said what I did, which in all honesty isn't they offensive to permit a ban like that. I just simply replied to an insult of someone saying "0/14 typical troll duos" and I replied "0/retarded" and then began defending myself and my friend more.

I get chat restricted because 2 players convinced the enemy team that my friend and I were saying racial slurs and being ultra chat toxic and the enemies believed it.

My friend wasn't banned from chat because I realized the keyword that led to my ban being "retarded"

Riot has a HUGE problem right now, like our actual legal system. They punish the players that generally follow the rules, but once they attempt to defend themselves we're at fault.

It's ludicrous. Thanks riot. I try to maintain a healthy account, but I live in fear of being permanently banned because I decided to take action. Muting doesn't do shit.

Riot KNOWS in the heat of the moment nobody will simply "mute" someone, you get insulted you retaliate. Shouldn't be punishable.

Maybe your focus should be more on you and what you're doing to get chat restricted/suspended.

Pretty much have come to the conclusion that once my 2 weeks are up I just need to let account sit until new season or end of season. Just to make sure punishments decay and I don't get perma banned. Ugh, time to lvl up a new account until then. lol facepalm

you got your first punishemend in december.

takes 3 month to drop down in the "penalty tier list" its mai now. so 5 months. i guess you had your 25 game CR like... 2,5 month ago?

They clearly have different levels of decaying that needs to happen. I would expect this also as they don't want it to take forever for someone to get back to hextech privs yet you should need to work a lot longer to move back on the scale of banning.

The only thing complaining about them not being the same length is going to accomplish will be for Riot to make it harder to get back into getting hextech awards.

so you got 3 punishments in around 4 months and you are surprised you got 14 day banned? lol, it takes 3 months to move down a punishment tier
