Why is it that people are allowed to continue to int feed but I'm getting punished for "negativity"?

I find this to be the single most hypocritical thing ever. Intentional feeding and other forms of trolling are INTENTIONAL efforts to create a NEGATIVE experience. The worst part is, trolls will almost certainly report you if you say "boo" to them, and Riot is very keen on banning this without exception. Riot needs to wake up and realize that true toxicity comes from trolls and other people that deliberate attempt to ruin the game for other people, and NOT those of us who take this game a bit too seriously.

The issue is how easy it is to prove.

At no point should Riot ban someone for just playing poorly. So the issue is proving the "intentional" part of the intentional feeding. Someone can be intentionally feeding, but to the system it might look like they were just having a really shitty game. Since there are people that have extremely bad games.

The result is a system that has a hard time to detecting and punishing intentional feeding for players that put up some semblance of effort to evade the system.

Poor behavior has no equivalent smoke-screen. You are in full control of your chat at all times. So the system can be certain that you are at fault if something incriminating pops up in chat.

tl;dr Poor behavior is many magnitudes easier to detect and hold the player responsible for their actions.

Or, you could not insult and flame the trolls. You are aware that they do what they do to piss people off so that they can report the other person for foul language, correct? You flaming trolls just feeds into exactly what they are aiming for, and it's just a bonus if they get someone banned. It your own fault for falling for their gimmick.

too many people think that having bad games are intentional feeding.

The same token goes to people whom feel that off meta picks are troll.

Think about it like in batman the dark knight

The Joker tries to show that everyone can go on to the bad side with a "little push"

Don't be TwoFace, be Batman. Stay on the good side.

Gameplay trolls do get punished. It's just that it's more difficult to track and detect at times since the system has to be sure that the person in question is actually trolling rather than just having a bad game or two. Don't believe me? Well Here are two examples of gameplay trolls being banned. Yes it's just two examples, but it proves that they do get punished. Regardless though someone else acting up doesn't mean that your own poor behavior gets a free pass. If you reported them and they have a history of acting up like that then they will be punished. From Understanding the Tribunal:

4) That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? a) I'll keep this one simple: retaliation isn't OK. Reacting to a toxic player by being toxic just incites that player to be even worse--it also ruins the game for up to 8 other players. It is far, far worse to watch two people yelling at each other all game than it is to watch 1 player ranting into blank space. Almost everyone in the game can find someone out there that behaves worse than they do--but so what? Finding someone worse doesn't justify your behavior or justify retaliation. We expect more out of our players. What players often don't realize is... those other players in your game that you thought were worse? Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on. If you retaliate, both of you will be banned. It's really that simple.

I totally agree with the OP, and to add to that, I find it absolutely ridiculous that the only way to get banned is by using the chat, a feature that CANNOT BE TURNED OFF! This is beyond baffling. It is the single most contradictory thing ever. People know they rage because they take the game seriously, and they want to NOT rage on the chat (sometimes it can't be helped, have you ever heard of temporary insanity?). And yet, riot forces us to try and be friendly. I'm sorry, but when you're on your best of 3 matches, you're playing seriously, and someone decides to steal the blue buff from the mid laner and suicide to the other mid laner on purpose you will likely lose your head for a few moments. And that deserves a perma ban. Logic is nowhere to be found on the chat system. Riot, if you're not going to do anything to trolls and intentional feeders at least have the decency to let people turn off the chat before entering a game so they don't get banned for complaining about a troll ruining the game of 9 other people.
