Please remove the option to ban your teammate's champion in champion select. Normaly it doesn't happen in ranked but sometimes it does happen in ranked as well, but if you play draft pick people are just literally banning your champion for no reason or just because you said "Can I jungler please?" and they just ban your champion. Obviously I have to dodge and wait 5 minutes for no reason. Just because a guy has some problems and he likes to ban other people's champions and I can't do anything about it. It literally happens every day now and I'm not even being toxic or mean to anyone for them to do that, they just do it for no reason. For example last champion select I joined, my team was 4 premades and I got autofilled top, I asked him politely "Can I go jungler please?" He said yea go jng, I said "thx <3" and then he just straight up just bans my champion and then types "oops I didn't see :)" After that I had to dodge because I never play toplane and they were already being toxic to me for no reason. In my opinnion, I think when you select the champion you're gonna play, your team shouldn't be able to ban the champion you selected. Make sure to comment and tell me what you think and why :D

But it isn't that teammate's champion yet. For the absolute first pick I can see this making sense [edit: and even then, there's the risk the first pick will choose a different champion instead]. But other than this, it is any individual player's decision whether they are willing to take the risk of an enemy getting a champion or not. That's the whole point of a ban.

Sure, it sucks when people abuse this feature to piss of their own team. But that is the case with plenty of other features, as well, and it has never been seen as a solid argument to remove such a feature entirely.

Don't play draft pick.

It's BAN then PICK, not PICK then BAN then PICK.

I can't remember where I saw this, but I believe a Rioter commented on this kind of thing and it boiled down to this - there has to be clear-cut rules on how champion select is supposed to happen in draft pick. The rule is that ban phase comes before pick phase, and banning any champion for any reason is **not ** against the rules.

If you change this, you screw up how draft pick is supposed to work, which is every person gets an equal chance to ban a champion they don't want to see. As soon as you can prevent people from doing that, you're screwing up the established order of operations.

Ok there is this champ called " totally busted, broken op!" He has a global 70% win rate. You are last pick, you hover said champ... what happens? Either the other team bans him or they pick him. That is why you can ban team mates hovers.

This is what I call THE RNG post. You will either get downvoted to hell or reach front page with this, based on purely chance.

If someone doesn't want to see it, they have the right to ban it. I never show my pick most of the time, so my champs rarely get banned.

If you play highly popular picks however, there's also gonna be the issue that someone will no doubtly ban them.

When you hover a champ in champ select you are making a suggestion that you are going to play that champion. This is not a guarantee as the opposing team may ban it, the opposing team may choose it, a teammate may choose it, you might change your mind due to the team comp, or a number of other reasons. (I personally troll the champ pick sometimes by hovering something stupid like Sona jungle just to be funny).

This is merely a suggestion to your teammates and not one they have to abide by.
