Hi All,

Im a 26 year old who has been converted finally to play this game in the ranked selection haha. After playing normals for more then a year I ventured into ranked (after being ridiculed by my peers for being a puss* haha)

Initially placed in like in low gold I comfortably made it to plat 5. Platinum 5 to Diamond 4 took around half the games I played in total. I have played 96 games in total and have 70 wins and 26 losses. Since reaching diamond 4 I believe 12 of those losses began and I wish it was down to good games! Honestly I'm no pro. I studied ALOT and have been very patient before diving into ranked, especially seeing my friends and the amount of time and money they invest into this game. I love and enjoy finding what makes things tick. I wanted more information on how and why players become more...I want to say sensitive in this ranked area of league. Is this normal? The main thing that made me come here was an individual from last game. I dont know if its acceptable to put his league name on here (so I wont). But he stated he can only play Master Yi jungle, however was assigned top lane. Dont get me wrong I understand Riot do what they can in order for all players to feel welcome however it does clearly say when you pick your 2 roles you may not get your desired role.

Now I always try to think logically and understand peoples thoughts and reasoning. This particular individual picked Udyr top lane which I thought would be pretty good into an enemy Fiora. He proceeded to steal the enemy red, then died to golems. Walked into top lane died multiple times and fed the enemy Fiora. Then did the same thing with the enemy mid laner and jungler. Before typing "Its all you guys fault you wouldnt give me jungle". Obviously I could tell he was either doing this on purpose however the logic just made no sense to me. The enemy jungler picked Yi so it was out of our hands anyway. He wasted not only his time but 4 others. We were trying as a team but it made it impossible to play. Dont get me wrong I have had this many times before and ignore it as I experienced this even when playing normals.

What I didnt realise is that Diamond holds the highest 2% of players. But in my experience all I have found is that people make one mistake or have no intention of playing the game from champ select if they dont get what they want.

Is there anything I can do in order to somehow change my gameplay or stop others from acting this way?

I do work and have a full time job but I really do enjoy playing league for around 2-3 hours daily and would like to continue to hopefully rise in the ranks

I understand I am still very new but I am very eager to learn and obviously rub it into my friends faces when I eventually get higher then they are xD

Unfortunately all you can really do is maintain a positive attitude and move forward. Report as you feel like is needed but often times it is out of your control. Just remember that negative players are more likely to be on the enmy team than on your own and just move on to the next game. Good luck!

Damn, youre a natural. Ive been playing 5 years and never made it past silver lol. (Though I never studied or played the fotm shit or even played all that many ranked games) But yeah, gold to diamond in under 100 games, nice. I cant speak on what goes on in that elo, just wanted to say well done!

Hi, I think the problem lies in their reasoning and time allowance.

So thinking that this player is in Diamond or High plat like yourself, I can assume the cause of his manner to be of him being pressured at work or daily activities and is frustrated. So basically playing league to waste time and wait for the day to end.

This leads his mental attitude in a wrong direction, which would not give him the capability to think clearly and l logically (just dodge the game ffs you ain't losing mmr).

Since most players are not paid to play League, their time is wasted when they lose a game whilst someone must play the game even if the player loses but still wins something in return. So just like you ending with a satisfied day after socializing or w.e achievements. _ **My recommendation is to find a partner and duoQ which drastically removes the possibility of such inmates, and also increases the chance of you two carrying the game._ **

Udyr is a horrible pick into Fiora.
