Question: Reported for Inting, but was playing on 100-500 ping so couldn't react to anything

UPDATE: NEW POST: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/qY390eNp-update-to-previous-inting-post

Game in question is the first one that appears. I was lagging like crazy in that game, as a jayce v. talon. Was playing with 500 ping (spiked to 9k once which led to a d/c) for the first 8 minutes or so, and talon got 4/0 off that. I proceed to have a constant ~120ms ping that spikes to 300-500 the remainder of the game, and talon snowballs even harder off me because I can't react to anything on the screen when I go up for cs (end up dying 7 more times). I do complain about the lag throughout the game, but someone on my team reports me for "inting" although it wasn't like I was trying to feed talon kill after kill... I wake up this morning to a 14-day suspension notice for inting in that game. I just sent in a support ticket, but I was wondering if having lag (and feeding due to it b/c u can't respond AT ALL) was a punishable offence? I was lagging in previous games before this one as well but it wasn't that bad (only occured once - my ezreal game a few games back w/same problem); idk why I spiked so hard in that game...

although my normals mmr is significantly lower than my ranked mmr, please understand that it is very hard to beat opponents who are lesser skilled if you have a significant lag handicap. Also, assassin snowballs really, really suck for a lagging midlaner.

If this punishment is irreversible it kinda sucks b/c grinded hard to get gold in flex and solo this season, and to be locked out of rewards b/c of "inting" when I wasn't actually trying to feed just really leaves a sour taste in my mouth, honestly. Can someone who's experienced a similar situation as me give me some insight as to what I can expect? :/

Your first six deaths look really suspicious. They match the pattern of int feeding.

Would you be willing to upload a replay to youtube, or post your .rofl file somewhere?

do you have these lag issues often?

You should get in touch with Tech Support, tell them about your issues. They may have you install the HexTech Repair tool.

Also, it sounds like your League directory is getting massive. You're going to want to reinstall the game from a clean directory soon.

Every game you play saves an extra bit of data somewhere in your league directory. A few weeks of gaming if you play like 5-10 games a day won't hurt your pc's performance, but a few months of that will, and it will not be a problem that will readily present itself.

So, yeah you should submitt that support ticket to Tech Support and go through the whole process of fixing/reinstalling LoL so you won't trip the system up for maintenance issues.

I wouldn't get my hopes up on your ban appeal. Usually bans or only reversed in exceptional circumstances, and I doubt lag causing behavior that looks to the system like intentional feeding would be a sufficient reason to overturn it. And if the person who reviews your appeal doesn't have access to your ping for the game, there's zero chance it will be overturned, as they're not going to let actual intentional feeders use lag as an excuse to get away with it, and they won't be able to tell whether you legitimately lagged or are just using it as an excuse.

I'd say in the future your best bet is probably to just leave if you start getting this lag. Yeah, it will suck to get hit with leaverbuster for that, but it's far preferable to getting an intentional feeding ban.

Riot is at fault. I have fioptics in Ohio (not very far from Chicago compare to most other locations in the NA region), and an ASUS laptop (designed for gaming). Clearly my fault.

How much were you complaining about the lag? Wouldn't be surprised if the system punished for that if it was more than a few messages.
