A Friend of Mine Falsely Banned
I know I know, this will surely seem like another crocodile tear post, but believe it or not this one is legitimate. A friend of mine was recently banned yesterday for "intentional feeding". Specifically, he played three games as his best and favorite champion in a row, one game being ranked, and in all three he did.... well, completely and utterly terrible. But being one of several people who knows him, I can say quite surely that he is not an intentional feeder.
You see, the aforementioned favorite champion is Katarina, which I'm sure a lot of people know very well for being an all-or-nothing high-risk champion (like most assassins), who if she falls behind has a really tough time clawing her way back. The scores were terrible, but as a Kha'Zix main I'm certain I can say what actually happened, as it's happened to me as well and many other players too- namely, he started doing badly, and as a result got tilted and kept making bad plays in an attempt to get himself back in the game. That lead to a cycle of getting killed, getting even more tilted, getting even more desperate to do better on his favorite champion, and thus the cycle repeats. And then the tilt would carry over into the next game, in a very "I need to redeem myself, I am not that bad at my favorite champion!". I mean c'mon, we've all been there, right?
After those three games my friend got two messages, one almost immediately after the other; the first was approximately a 14-day ban, then without so much as a game in between he got the second message saying he was permanently banned. And this was his first time being punished on the account, so being given an outright permaban is quite severe. He's already tried sending in a support ticket to plead his case, but he's gotten a stalwart "no" for his answer.
Because of that I'm here trying to bring some attention to this excessively and unusually harsh punishment, hoping that a red poster might see it and offer some help. My friend is a very passionate League player, and being permanently banned for doing badly (very badly, I will openly concede, but still) has left him feeling very depressed. I'm hoping there's something I can do to help him out by bringing public attention to this, especially since it actually validates the fear many people have that just because they did badly, they could get reported and banned.
