Afk during late in the game

I've been playing league for some time now. Today I've experienced 2 games in my promo that 2 people have afk'd in my game. This is getting really annoying because this happened last game where someone is getting mad because they aren't doing well in the rank and they afk. You guys really need to fix this. Instead of us losing all of the LP can we at least lose half the lp instead of losing 16-20 lp due to someone afking. This is really annoying since everyone is afking because of a bad teammate made them mad, or they are not doing well, and etc... I'm just super tired of this afking whenever you want. Please do something about this because I'm not a happy camper right now.

Unfortunately, how do you prevent a human being from rage quitting? Rioters are not behind their shoulders with a bat. But they are consequences when players rage quit. If they do it they lose LP and can be punished by LeaverBuster. Also, in late game, you have more chances to win 4v5 than mid game. Theres another system that makes them lose LP while the 4 remaining winners will win LP. Thats a sweet feeling.

Also, there are more chances that the AFK is in the enemy team since they are 5. Meaning, you have won games THANKS to AFKs, possibly more than you lost BECAUSE of AFKs. Thats why AFKs have no negative impact on your ranking over a Season, hence no need to invent a weird AFK LP system that could be abused with smurfs and win trading. Also, google negativity bias and confirmation bias. Our brains are wired to remember negative events with more intensity. Today you had 2 AFKs, tomorrow they may be in the other team. Think in terms of 10 months Season with hundreds of games, not an isolated disappointing hour.

I stopped playing ranked years ago because I was tired of being punished for people in my lobby AFKing, Leaving, or just raging because someone wasn't living up to their standards. It's a toxic game mode.
