Kinda Scared?

I came out of a well deserved 2 week ban about a week ago. My behavior has improved drastically, but there are times I feel I have been a bit rude to teammates and apologize usually in post game lobby or before the game ends. However, someone on the other team that was very rude and talked trash all game ended up starting an argument with me in post game and eventually said " Did you see that verbal abuse/ harrassment report? "

I cannot say I did, so, I guess what I am asking here is am I to the point in my case where I do not receive these notifications like I used to? If I was genuinely offending someone I would really hope I could be made aware of that like I used to, because now I do not take that kind of thing for granted.

Rioter response would be awesome!

Here's a few suggestions to avoid getting a perma:

  • Mute everyone. If you know you have a tendancy to respond if attacked, that being unable to see what a player says will go a long way to avoid tilt. And don't worry about getting reported for not talking. It's no longer an option, and was never actually punished when it was

  • Look for good plays from teammates instead of focusing on mistakes. Say "Good Job" "Thank You" or "Nice kill". You'd be amazed how far that can go to encouraging team play and getting people willing to help out if you're struggling in lane.

  • Turn on background music that is neutral-positive. Angry-at-the-world, let's-kill-everyone- music might have a lot of energy to it, but it'll still put you in a more aggresive mindset, which does carry over to chat.

  • Know when to take a break. If you just finished a frustrating game, get up and walk away for a bit. Get some food, go for a walk, just something that will give you a little time to reset mentally.

I've also seen people suggest removing or unbinding the Enter key to make it impossible to chat, screaming at the computer instead of typing things out, or having something punchable next to your computer.

The main point is to find ways to reduce your frustrations and to have alternate methods for expressing it that don't involve sending it over the chat system.

I'm not sure, your warnings might be over and the next punishment for you is a permanent ban. You'd be better off not getting in any more arguments for the next 3 months. If you have to ask "should I say this" - you probably shouldn't.

Say nothing unless it's positive. Don't even offer constructive criticism.
