Riot does nothing about trolls.

Ok, so it's starting to become transparent that riot isn't doing a thing about trolls, so now trolls seem to be going beyond just trolling but into darker territory of doxing a targeted player in the match just to get the objective of causing the match to be lost, and no matter how many times these trolls get reported nothing will seem to happen to them what so ever, so please mods or riot explain when something will start being done?

Trust me. They're getting punished.

Could you maybe explain how someone in a game magically doxxed you? I find that hard to believe. Please be as specific as possible as to how they achieved this.

I noticed you are in Bronze 4, I have a feeling this might have something to do with the experience you might have had. Once you get to Silver I heard things get better.

i have played very few games in the last few months but i guarantee if my power suddenly died mid game and i dc'ed id get a more instant and longer bann then someone who leaves games constantly. i see people leave games all the time. and i have forgiveness if they have to go for dinner or the match went longer then expected I GET THAT , unlike riot i understand LIFE COMES FIRST. but some people just say " this fucking adc is an idiot i'm afk " and leave AND I SEE THEM THE VERY NEXT MATCH ON THE ENEMY TEAM DOING THE SAME THING. theres an honorable ribbon and a team work ribbon etc. there should be a " leaver/afk" ribbon , kind of like when a sex offender has to tell his new neighborhood hes a sex offender when he moves in. people who leave constantly should have the leaver ribbon of SHAME

It's not that Riot doesn't ban gameplay trolls (they do), it's that gameplay trolls are more harder to track and pin down efficiently as simple chat-based offenses. This is because Riot has to be sure the person in question is actually trying to troll and ruin the game via gameplay offenses and not just having a bad game or two. Not only that but more often than not the banned gameplay trolls often already know why they got busted and as such are much less likely to complain on the forums about their ban.

In case you don't believe me here are two examples of gameplay trolls being banned. Yes it's just two examples, but it proves that they do get punished.

It was surprising to me to find this post. Even more surprising to read the content here.

This is so random I cannot even believe it.

I was watching some random kids stream last night, with like three viewers including me.

I saw the entire series of events unfold, except for the very beginning of champ select. So here are the events I remember in order:

  1. Someone banned your champ.

  2. You retaliated by using foul language towards them in champ select.

  3. Subsequently the persons you had a disagreement with provided some type of youtube link. I couldn't click or type it from the stream so I am not sure what it was. You seemed to be offended by it as you ranted on about "F your channel" etc.

  4. This is where it gets good - You started making vague hacking type threats. I believe the statement was - "Thanks for the video link, now I have your IP address and will take care of this"

  5. Apparently the persons you had a disagreement with were intelligent enough to know that you cannot obtain a gamers IP address by watching a youtube video? And what would you have done with it?

  6. Said persons apparently retaliated (or just pranked you) by using google. The searched your name. You posted your face on google plus, so they described you. Freely available information that you provided. Subsequently you use variations of the same username with your area code. So they figured out what state you live in. And because you use similar names in other games, they were able to dig up information on games you have played, forum posts, etc. Again, this was all information that you freely provided to the world via the internet, of your own free will.

  7. As a minor note, you claimed in all chat that they needed to be reported to 3rd party hacking programs. I found that interesting.

  8. The persons in question both had a better KDA than you in that particular game, less deaths, and more CS and objectives taken. From viewing their stream (I know you couldn't see that side of the story) I can tell you they were trying to win, but when mid laner dies 12 times in 30 min, thats an average lifespan of just over 2 minutes. You actually had the most deaths in that game.

  9. You, in no way whatsoever were "Doxxed" or whatever. You made a veiled threat against people that saw through it, and they gave a little bit of it back to you. Your real name, address, anything that you yourself haven't placed on the internet was never discussed or posted. And you were not "doxxed" for the purpose of losing, I am pretty sure from listening to them on stream that you just got trolled because you made some weird hacking threat about getting an IP address from youtube. Then you claimed you were going to turn them in but when they asked you to who, you went silent. At that point the guy on the stream said: "Tango Down we have him now".
