Hey everyone, recently, I had a bad game. Everyone has those once in a while right? Well, the teamates on my team somehow got overly aggressive and asked everyone to report me which they agreed too. Will their actually be action taken? Will I get banned? If so, how long. Also, would I get banned if everyone in the game reported me? I just think that it is very unfair for you to get reported and banned just because you had one bad game.
Believe me, they wont ban you for that, regardless if you actually had a bad game or if you (and i dont mean YOU specifically) inted and trolled the entire game, they only care about what you say. Ive been chat banned twice now because i responded to said trolls, even one time defending an enemy because their zed relentlessly bashed him for no reason, all because i used 'bad words', most of which normal players will use as trash talk, so not slurs or anything. Its kinda sad actually that the report system does that, all because its automated and cant figure out shit by itself. On your problem however, i think only one report counts per game, but if they 9x it that single game might(?) be looked into, but if you truely were just having a bad game and did nothing to flame or otherwise intentionally troll the team, you should be fine.
Unless this one bad game is either frequent (in which case it isn't a bad game), or exceedingly severe, you will not be punished for one game. Nor are you ever punished (or not punished) based on number of reports - it is based on your behavior.
An action has already been taken; All a report does is to flag the system to review the game.
1 report does the same thing as 9 reports. The toxicity score returned from the review will be the same regardless of how many times a player was reported within the same game.
It is also possible for the system to return a toxicity score of 0 if there was no toxicity found within the game.
Meaning if you did nothing wrong, you would never be punished.
Also for you to note; The system doesn't punish based on severity alone. It punishes based on consistency x severity, meaning you can be punished for 1 game of extreme toxicity or many many games of mild toxicity.
