trolled out of season rewards by riots broken honor system

got a chat restriction because a player in my ranked game told me to kill myself when i was carrying the team and asked why he wasn't grouping with us. my response to him telling me to kill myself was "you can't possibly be this stupid", and muting him. He didn't get a chat restriction after i reported him btw :)

and this was months ago. and somehow even though i get honored all the time, i'm at honor level 1 checkpoint 0 of 3. i don't see how i'm supposed to get honor level 2 by the end of the season. Riots broken honor system combined with the broken automated reporting system is going to make me lose my end of season rewards. because of a chat restriction from 3 months before the season even ended.

So is this system going to stay around? a system where if you say one thing that the broken automated system says is toxic, all your grinding you did in ranked was completely pointless? just because of a trash honor system and a trash reporting system? it would be so easy to copy Overwatch's tribunal system that had players review reports and vote on them for 100 blue essence a day or something like that, and instead we have to deal with this garbage system that has been flawed for 3 seasons, and now we get a flawed honor system to make the flawed reporting system even more broken to the point that it cucks people out of their season rewards.

I love this game, but if i dont get my end of season rewards i'll probably end up moving on to something better until the honor system stops being just another way to punish people.

I don't think you can get punished for just 1 line.

What honor level did you start off with after your punishment? If you haven't progressed from honor 1, then you're doing something negative that's keeping you from leveling up in honor. Being slightly negative might not be punishable, but will prevent you from going up in honor.

3 months seems like a long enough time to get back to honor 2 with regular amounts of playing.

Can you post your chatlogs?

What you saying doesn't seem to match with how the system works. So just to be sure, can we see your chatlogs to see if it is a valid punishment? If not, there is a possibility that the punishment gets revoked.

I submitted a ticket regarding this issue and this is how it works. No matter where your honor levels are sitting - level 4 or 5 which takes months of work - you can get down to 1 with a single bad game. I flamed at a jungler who was playing like a single RPG game without any cooperation, and got 10 games chat restricted for the first time ever. A game after it, i complained how unfair matchmaking was to have 4 silvers on my team and me who is plat, and 2 plats and 3 silvers on the other team on a ranked flex game. I got a warning about the two games and got down to level 1. Ever since then, i had no negative game and only neutral and many positive, but was able to only progress 1 check point playing like 100 games a week. Sure, toxic people need to be punished but for the first time warned players there should be a warning. If I was never below honor level 2, how am I supposed to know how long it takes to reach from 1 to 2? It honestly takes longer from 2 to 3 since I was able to make to 4.2 from 2.0 in 3 months playing less games. This surely is an unfair treatment compared to previous years. Riot did notice that honor level 2 is required although I did not even play lol that time, but did they clarify how hard acquring honor level 2 would be? All previous years, players were eligibld to receive rewards as long as they were not banned from August time, or if they were still chat restricted by the season end date. The change Riot made this year with the honor level and not informing players enough about the consquences, it is completely normal for those who got the first chat restriction around the end of this season end, despite of playing for years. Its quite simple to understand where the frustration is. There is simply not enough time for improvements or regardless how honorable you are the whole year. If you get a one mildest warning a month or a month and a half before the season end date, you are done. A guy who got chat banned twice this year earlier, but twice for god sake, is receiving reward because he knew how long it would take so that he can be toxic just until then. Who cares about the skin and the border, but be fair and disqualify everyone who has ever got a warning or a ban, or make it easier to show improvements like previous years.

did you ask him? how do you know he didn't?
