A thought that came to mind regarding toxicity...

Why doesn't Riot tell you that you're being toxic before you're punished for it? Considering they list multiple instances, it's not as if they necessarily can't. It'd be beneficial, for new players at least, for Riot to tell people that they're being toxic when it's reported, with a quote of the toxic dialogue.

From personal experience and many threads here, when people are punished it's usually because they don't know that what they're saying is punishable. It'd benefit both the players and the game environment if instead of waiting until punishment to tell someone that their dialogue is toxic, just tell them when it's reported.

Back in the days, chat restrictions were the warnings before you got banned.

Nowadays, the stakes are higher when you get punished. Loss of keys, seasonal rewards, participation in clash and probably more coming.

Now, I'm all for having advanced warnings before one gets punished. Afterall, the system is different compared to back in the days.

Ignorance of a rule/law is not a defense against breaking it.

Most people know exactly why they were punished for. One of the questions that I ask a lot is: "would you attach your chat log to your future resume?"

So far, not a single person say they would. They obviously know, they just don't want to admit the wrongs because they think that the veil of anonymity gives them an exception to be under par human being.

Good Riddance.

Also, Riot tells you repeatedly with warnings, chat restriction, soft bans, like it is insane how some people can get to permabans, even multiple permabans. To me, I sometimes question their ability to function in society if they REALLY don't know what they did wrong. It is kinda of insulting at times.

I think you should get a notice if someone reports you after a game. Many times people are reported for idiotic reasons. It's not always verbal abuse, sometimes people ask for someone to be reported just because their support got a few kills. Usually*[slayer-jinx-unamused]* a salty ADC.

saw a post recently about the report card idea, basically something at the end of a week/month showing you how you stand report and severity wise and what fell under a vaild report

Riot is looking for the toxic people so they can ban them. Because toxic people are the only people a company can ban without going bankrupt.
