I spent much of yesterday playing Odyssey on Onslaught as a solo player, and let me just say it renewed my faith in the community. I saw players attempt 5 ziggs, 2 augments because teammates wanted both. I saw players want 5 Yasuo play out 2 augment mixed teams instead. I saw players working towards goals that they didn't necessarily share, because they were willing to help out the random people they were queued with.
Thank you for this post. It showcases that it is entirely up to one's self to be a dick or be a nice person. NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SYSTEM.
It works out much better when you have all the missions cleared and you pop in to share your wisdom. Even then though over half the games end is quick surrenders because someone doesn't take the right amount of augments. Doing it solo, like seriously trying to complete all the missions, is madness and I do not recommend it at all so much so that it shouldn't even be an option.
A commnunity come together to rise up and beat the stupid quests that a some suits in a big corporation put placed upon us.
Last night I helped 3 people clear onslaught because they were never able to clear it, cos everyone else wanted to do lesser augs with quest comps.
Feels good to help them out that way. Even though I went through another day without completing ziggs/sona or 2 augs.
I actually put out a few games today just to help randoms try to win it for their quest. I didn't really care about mine. Sure they may have all been losses but they were appreciative of the efforts. Hell even had one group with three of them just afk and I nearly duoed the first stage with an ally Sona.
This is what i am saying people keep complaining about the toxicity of going in solo while so far i have experienced none i still have the 3 aug and 5 ziggs missions to do but we usually compromise each game to do 1, i have not once even had an early surrender pop up
Ya ive noticed a lot of cooperation in odyssey. Still pretty rare that everyone goes along, but most of the time 3 or 4 people are willing to go for someones mission. Theres always one that doesnt care though :P
Idk man, I've seen a guy help his team get to Kayn and then suicide when he was the only one left to fight Kayn this was cuz they didn't do his 2 aug mission, although they were flaming him quite a lot
