Perma Banned for using 3rd party software !!!!

Hi,

So my account was recently perma banned for using 3rd party software. The only league related software i do use are Curse n Discord for team chats and plays.tv for recording games, frankly I am not even a good enough player to be ever reported for scripting. Can someone explain what might have triggered this ban and if i can ever get my account back. Its a 3 yrs old account it would kill me to start over again. I have submitted a ticket with no avail , can someone help !!

Edit : Got my ban lifted, I got a mail from Riot that my account was incorrectly identified as having violated League terms. Thank you Riot. Thank you all for upvoting for visibility. I hope everyone wrongly banned gets their accounts back.

Automated bans seem to be a bit off lately. I've seen lots of people saying they've been banned for 3rd party software. Best you can do is send in a ticket and hope they fix whatever's causing this soon.

that's weird, and I checked your match history. nothing seems suspicious at all. ill bump this post to get more attention. idk how riot even detects that either. it's not like you were scripting or anything

ME TOO. Let this be an important lesson to never buy skins, its a free game unless you make it otherwise.

I even contacted them telling them i have no idea whats going on, can you at least tell me what program i need to remove so i dont get banned on my new account. THEY SENT A COPY PASTE REPLY SAYING THEY CANT TELL ME!

I have never had disciplinary actions taken against me whatsoever and then one day out of the blue BAM perma baned with no warning OR EVIDENCE. I wouldnt even know where to begin on how to script. Ive played at most 3 ranked games this season. I contacted them and only got copy paste replys! the whole thing is starting to seem like a scam to get me to rebuy all my $300 worth of skins.

I'd usually call bs but your match history is pretty ugly and you're sitting at a 49% winrate in silver haha. If you were cheating than that's even more pathetic. Hope Riots gives you a solid explanation. Will give you an upvote for attention. Please post the results :D

I do recall seeing a spike in players complaining in all chat about "cheating". Just the other day I had a YI player on my team who played very poorly, and every time he died he would go on an all caps rant in all chat about how he was going to report the enemy players for "3rd party" and saying that they were "cheating". I hope this issue gets resolved for you, it's scary to think that angry players like that could get innocent players banned. Good luck, I'll up vote your post!

I have the same thing with you. I am 100% sure I didnt use any 3rd party programs and never share my account to anyone. I had sent a ticket to RIOT but they said they cant tell me what make me get ban and they had gathered enough evidence but they cant tell what evidence they have. What can I do now?

I am in the same situation as you are op. My account got banned and I received an email that stated that as the reason. The only thing I can think of is curse. Since I see many people saying they got banned for this reason in the last days and most of them use curse or something similar I started this thread. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/QLbNiqBe-i-think-using-curse-got-my-account-banned I am almost certain it was curse that got me banned because I never did anything like that I was still a level 23.

I was falsely targeted with this as well, and Riot had told me that under no circumstance will they lift the ban.

I was banned for the same thing. No clue how to do any of the stuff they are accusing me. I would start another account but I don't want to put more time into an account to level up only to get banned for something I am completely unaware of again

Hello, I was banned for this yesterday. No 3rd party software ever installed my computer besides curse and discord. Upvote all other posts you see about this. they fucked up

honestly, this is messed up. My friend who posted below (Stoolington).. yes a great name, commented that he didnt cheat. I can back him up because I was the one who got him into this game. I encouraged him to join play and he even spent real money to buy shit. Just 2 days ago he got banned and received the same crap response from Riot. He has Curse and some replay recording software and nothing else. the kid absolutely sux at this game.. just look at his stats he isn't even placed! I feel bad that I encouraged him to to play a game that he never had a chance of growing in. based on everyone responses their is nothing to be done here.. just gone. everything. This is another post to support this movement... a bowel movement

whats going on I was just banned after playing a bot game apparently using 3rd party program all I use is curse voice and discord and the riot client plz help

ps u can look at my account been bronze and silver since end of season 4 when i started, plus cheaters should be banned i dont see the point in cheating

Hello, I am currently dealing with the same problem. Banned for using a third party program. No warning, no proof of it just banned...I finished gold 4 last season and I honestly have not played as much this season. It saddens me to be called a cheater when I have worked tirelessly to be better at this game FAIRLY. Anywho, I hope we can all get some type of retribution because I too have put hundreds of dollars into this account over my 2 and a half years played on it.

Same issue. All I got from submitting a support ticket was a copy and paste response. Been playing since season 3 and only 3rd party software i've used is Curse Voice, Discord, and Overwolf, all from the list of approved 3rd party software.

Same thing happened to me. I use Curse Voice. I don't know if that's the issue but I see a lot of people are getting effected by this.

I've only been hearing about this on NA servers.

Perhaps someone hacked into the database and has tweaked it to cause some players to get banned for no reason.

Has any wooxy users been affected?
