Is it really my fault for not caring?

I just played a game where a group of 4 people decided to ban the champ i wanted to play because one of them didn't want me to play that champ

is it really my fault for not caring about that game at all because of the fact they banned the champ I really wanted to play?

UPDATE!

Just to be clear! Everyone on my team but me were in a group and in a curse call so I held them all accountable

I was first pick and I practiced with the champ (sol) before playing ranked http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/34832874#matches

they could have checked my profile before banning him but instead they check it AFTER banning him and didn't even apologies for it

I was going to play Sol support which i know 100% is a thing

I'll also note that i was first pick so no chance of stealing as reason for ban

Did they actually state they didnt want you to have the champion? Or are you just assuming. Like Guy Fox Teemo stated, if its a new champion, or any of the Flavor of the Months you can bet its probably has more to do with not wanting to play against the champion than a grudge against you. That or maybe they want to win and rank up assuming it was rank. But even if you were first pick how can you guarantee that you will play well, or to the best you can if you are playing the new champion?

In all brutal honesty? You are free to not care about whatever the flip you want.

You are not free, however, to ruin the game of the four other players on your team.

Either pick a backup champ and play the game in earnest(no complaining, no toxicity), or dodge and save the other players from having to deal with you if you can't handle that.

I don't know why all these people are saying the pre-made is in the right. Banning anyone's preferred champ IS a d*ck move, and on top of which: grieving (Reportable). You wanted to play a new champ in ranked, go for it. Look when Ekko first came out, he was played more in Ranked on the first day rather than a week later. And had a decent win-rate.

You don't have to care

When a team isn't serious at champion select, and players argue I am like "I don't care lets win /lose let me move on to next game and get a real game hopefully.)

Type /Mute All

Play the game and whatever.

Solo Queue vs 5 man premade is a big difference.

If it was Aurelion Sol, I don't blame them, (If it was ranked).

Either way, yes you should care, you can't just quick the game because you didn't get a specific champ. Thats more douchey of you then what they did.

Always ban the new champ in Ranked. Riot should be doing it, but since they don't, the playerbase should. Always. Every game.
