How to handle yourself in a game with a toxic player

I was in ARAM earlier this evening and, as I always do, typed in /all chat “GL, HF!”

One of the enemy players then said “eat ****” to which I responded with “<3”

They didn’t say anything until the end of the game, which was “gg, ez” to which I replied “gg, wp.” After the game they wanted me to report them, which I did. I wrote in the report that they were toxic at the beginning and showing bad manners at the end, submitted the report and moved on with my evening.

Nothing flashy, nothing exceptional, just a simple set of actions and I don’t have to think about it anymore.
