It's okay to call other players "Ni**ers"?

Alright so I got a 10-game chat suspension and dropped an honor level after this Ryze game I had where the guy that reported me called me a "%%%%%%" in lobby and flamed me all game. Now I normally /mute all, and if I do say something in chat it's typically "gj" or "nice!" or "well done", I climbed to Honor 4 pretty quickly and consider myself a positive person overall, as my record has shown: I've played league for a very long time and this is the first time I've had any kind of punishment.

So, to start off, at the beginning of the game this 2-3 man premade starts flaming me and says "Ryze we don't like you so we're not gonna help you" then they begin to troll me and flame me. They call me a "%%%%%%" and tell me that I'm "bad" and all of that fun stuff. So the point of this thread is, why am I the only one being punished when I didn't start this and was just defending myself? Now, I do believe I could have handled the situation better. I could have /muted them but this time I did not and I fell into their trap. I did say things that I can see as being toxic (I called one of them a "shitbag"), but I did so under certain circumstances and I was just defending myself. (being ganged up on and flamed by 3 people that set out to make the game a bad experience for others)

If there are the chat/lobby logs of this game please take a moment to look at them and review this case. Thank you for your time.

Riot doesn't care.

I got banned for telling someone who was being toxic all game. "Shut the fuck up, its a game. No one cares about how fucking good you are. Ass." (After 20 minutes of Ahri spamming all chat about how bad we were compared to her i gave up)

Got a nice 14 day suspension. (Had a chat suspension 4 months prior)

Riot cares.

The problem is that everyone gets punished for fighting with each other as you describe. You could've easily muted them and moved on, like you understand.

However, you instead chose to turn 2-3 people flaming into that plus one more. There's no reason to let yourself get into this situation - just mute and move on, and report after the game.

Did you type that word out as part of your replies to them? The automated system seems to not be too context sensitive and just string-checks for the very most part, so you will get banned for things like repeating words and phrases (by that I mean the no-no ones) and not just actually using them.

There was a thread about it some time earlier, where someone was banned because they were called a ni99er which they defended themselves while quoting the attacker, and that triggered the ban. The ban was lifted shortly after.

.................

If however, you were simply going overboard while defending yourself, do note: Riot has a anti-"fight fire with fire" policy in place. Because according to Riot's ideal, allowing toxicity to respond to toxicity poses some moral concerns whereby it means certain toxicity is acceptable; but Riot wants to say "all toxicity are bad, period." That and also, because you're defending yourself from a threat that while does affect you, it ultimately can not mortally harm you or posing the threat of it (unless things like death threats or SWAT'ing threats etc, which outside of reports you would also need to consult Riot staff with this through a support ticket, and depending on the severity police might even be called). This means one is okay to defend themselves when assaulted verbally in League, but one is not okay to also attack someone back while defending themselves in general.

.................

That said, you can always send in a support ticket to enquire and dispute the legitimacy of your ban. As long as you remain civil, the case won't just be thrown out of the window, and you guys would go through exactly why you were banned and whether or not it is possible to be lifted due to either a lack of convincing argument for the ban or a larger amount of supporting argument that you do not indeed deserve it.

Maybe under your rock, but out here in the real world people have standards.

I only read the title.
