Toxic Server?

Consider a Toxic Server with the following configuration:

  • No chat or behavioral rules are enforced. A player may say anything in game without risk to the account. Other rules (intentional feeding, afking / leaving) still apply.
  • A new account can be created for the Toxic Server or an existing account can be transferred to the Toxic Server.
  • An account on the Toxic Server cannot be transferred to any other server.
  • The Toxic Server has its own matchmaking, including MMR.
  • Accounts transferred to the Toxic Server have their MMR reset in all queue types, but keep any champions, skins, and rune pages that have already been unlocked.
  • This is not a prisoner's island. It is not a replacement for the existing penalty escalation process. Only accounts in good standing may be transferred to the Toxic Server. An account that has been chat restricted or issued a temporary ban cannot be transferred to the Toxic Server until the punishment status is back to good standing.

For the purposes of the poll, please disregard the potential technical limitations of such a server (capacity, queue times, etc), though feel free to bring them up for discussion.

Edit: As others have noted, certain rules need to remain in place or the game may not ever progress to the end. To that end, I've updated the scenario. At the time of the update, votes were Yes, I would play there (3), No, I would not play there (20).

okay I know I already made a reply, but this is for a different discussion...

One thing problem I see with this is that people will make a new account on that server (only not-so-smart people would willingly risk transferring their mains into that...) to play toxic games to their heart content. But when they want to play a real, actual game, they will play with their mains (that they smartly did not transfer to toxic server...) on normal server. They will bring with them their toxic learned habits and create very unpleasant experiences for everyone on normal server.

I see this just like Prisoner's Island (except this one you opt into instead of forced). When people released from Prisoner's Island, they will just get more and more toxic from what they learned or developed in there. When people get bored with their smurf in your toxic server, they will be even more toxic on their mains.

An account on the Toxic Server cannot be transferred to any other server.

soo....if you go there to find your queue time to be 1+ hour per match, you're fucked?

This is not a prisoner's island.

Prisoner's Island is the concept that your behavior gets you placed in queue with people of similar behavior. Because this is a smaller subset of the community, it would has worse matchmaking and longer queue times. Theoretically if you show improved behavior you could "escape" prisoner's island.

You've removed the escape hatch. What's more, you've designed it so "prisoners" are less likely to be able to transfer their accounts to this server than normal players. Yes, it's opt in, but it's still an inescapable island.

I don't really see the point? Especially since cheating isn't allowed but inting is?

Like, what would one gain from going there? You're just going to have people inting every game?

So, a server for sportsmanlike players to opt out of sportsmanship?

I have no problem with it, but I don’t really understand the purpose of it.
