How do you get out of a racist match without getting in trouble?

How....do you get out of a game when people are being blatantly racist? I tried to forfeit, but was unsuccessful. After the second attempt, I got told I was spamming forfeit. I told my team I didn't want to play with people that were being racist. That opened a whole new slew of lovely profanity and I am stuck. I don't want to be involved in any game with anyone that thinks its funny to be racist. If I leave, I get in trouble for their racism. If I ask them to stop, I get blasted anyways. I muted them, but they just made the game so unplayable that it stopped being about playing a game, but more about jumping on the person that said they don't want to read it. Then I got told, that because I brought it back up, I am a troll so another person on our team said they are going to report me. So now I'm punished for playing in a game with a couple of racists. If I leave I'm punishing myself. If I don't participate in the fights, I get reported. There seems to be no way out except waiting out a poor game with people that spew worthless crap and waiting to send your report that does nothing. How do you get out of wasting 30 min of your time without a severe penalty that far outweighs what will happen to the people that are actually being racist?

They can't be racist towards you if you mute them.

If you decide to throw, leave, or flame them back, you will be subject to penalties just the same. Try not to get wound up about what they are doing, and just mute so you can focus on the match. The punishments for racist behavior are severe, so make sure you report them at the end.

Mute them, continue to play as normal, report at the end of the game.

There seems to be no way out except waiting out a poor game with people that spew worthless crap and waiting to send your report that does nothing. How do you get out of wasting 30 min of your time without a severe penalty that far outweighs what will happen to the people that are actually being racist?

How do you come to the conclusion that their report is more potent than yours?

The easiest thing to do is type this in chat

/mute @champion

replacing "champion" with the name of the champion you're trying to mute.

Then you won't see any chat messages from them for the rest of the game.

just type /mute all or mute the individuals who are making the comments.

If you leave a game or two every now and then, you probably won't get punished by Leavebuster. You'd have to leave several games over a short period of time in order to actually receive a punishment. If the language of other players is bothering you that much, then just mute them and play the rest of the game out. If for some reason you don't believe that muting would resolve the issue (and I couldn't see why it wouldn't), then you're obviously free to leave the game. I'm not recommending that you should do that but it is a free country and you're free to make that decision. You likely wouldn't receive a low priority queue for one game, but just be aware that if you leave games frequently, you will likely eventually be punished by Leavebuster.

I'm finding more and more matches with this problem, and I have muted and kept my fingers on QWER, but there's a point when I really wonder if anything actually happens when you report them. Even if you mute them, they troll by effecting game play. I was hoping for a different answer than muting them. We all spend a lot of time playing this game. I hate to see it go down this path sometimes. Being passive doesn't fix the problem, it just spurs those people to keep going. Oh well. Thanks for the replys.

Use your mute button instead of crying and going afk, I seriously can't wait for reality to hit some of you kids like a truck. If you can't function after hearing racism I suggest you never leave your house or go on the internet again
